Arthur Morton 1908-2000

Composer and orchestrator Arthur Morton passed away on April 15 at his home in Santa Monica at the age of 91.

Morton was the longtime orchestrator for Jerry Goldsmith, working on practically every Goldsmith score since the mid-'60s. His Hollywood career began in 1935 and he composed the music for dozens of pictures during the Golden Age of the studio system.
