New Charles Bernstein Book Now Available
News flash by Lukas Kendall
Film Music and Everything Else! Music, Creativity and Culture as
Seen by a Hollywood Film Composer is a collection of essays by Charles
Bernstein, the composer of the original Nightmare on Elm Street, Sadat,
Cujo and much more. Most of the essays originally appeared in The

of Composers and Lyricists, and they are collected here in one volume
in a limited print run of 500 copies.

It's rare to find the kind of reflective writing on film music that
can be found for other art forms -- and especially from a practicioner
of the form itself. The book is 132 pages, softcover, 5 1/2" by 8
1/2", ISBN 0-9704273-0-1 and is published by Turnstyle Music Publishing
out of Beverly Hills, California. It's brand new and barely in circulation
yet...
What's more, as an added bonus, the 10 copies we have on hand TODAY
are signed by Charles Bernstein himself. We thank the author for his time
in doing this and hope some of our thoughtful readers are interested in
this first-look opportunity -- the price is $18.95 plus shipping.
