In Memoriam
Many thanks for the kind notes that have come into our email box from readers
around the world and in the U.S. regarding Tuesday's catastrophes in our
country.
Obviously these are unbelievable events and ones that make us not really
want to talk about film music as we're glued to the TV sets, awaiting news,
horrified at what has occurred -- and thinking of all those who are lost.
Everybody seems to know someone who is affected.
Again, thank you to those who wrote in to our offices. Our managing
editor, Tim Curran, is on holiday in New York City -- oh, my -- but thankfully
he is OK.
You know it's really something when you start receiving condolences
from internet spam companies, as has happened to me. Even the junk mail
is somber.
Our hearts and prayers go out to those involved. (Listening suggestion:
Herrmann's "For the Fallen.")
Our normal scheduled programming will resume tomorrow.
