Remember how the Superman LP came with a black sticker on the back for its track listing? Does anybody know what was under there? It must have been a misprint, but what?

I remember my "Jurassic Park: The Lost World" CD also had its track listing on a sticker on the back.

Exactly! The adhesive has had 35 years to set. It would probably tear the underlying print right off. I can't even open a box of elbow macaroni without damaging the lid, and those are new.

Wow, this is one of those amazing posts that makes me feel so close to everyone around here!
Not only do we have such a SPECIFIC passion, but many of us (of a certain generation) all followed such a similar journey.
It always reminds me of Close Encounters, when this little sub-group of people share a vision, and within that group, an even smaller group acts on it (drawing and sculpting mountains), and within that group, an even smaller group follows the vision to completion. He he he.
Well, similarly, a very tiny group of us (of a certain age) have inside jokes or observations that may even be alien to the larger community of film music fans - but to each other, it's a major shared experience. Taping movies or shows off the tv speakers just to capture the music is one of those things. The "humiliation" of handing a cool 70's record store clerk an LP like "Planet Of The Apes" – when all the other kids were buying rock music.
...And staring at that damned Superman LP sticker and wondering, ok - obsessing over what was underneath it...why it was so obviously added later...yearning to peel it off...yet not daring to maim our LP jackets to find out.
I mean, really, what are there? Like 100 of us who would laugh and nod in agreement? I wish we could all get together, I'd buy the first round of drinks. I know I'd love you all.

I also feel a kinship to many here, which is probably why I have this thing about members posting absolutely NOTHING about themselves on their profiles. And I'm afraid to have to include YOU among those. As I've written elsewhere, I respect members' rights to keep any details about themselves hidden -- some don't even post so much as their sex! (You DO give your sex and city, so yours isn't a total blank!) I like to think that it would be nice to know each members' favorite composers and soundtracks. Is that asking too much? They can leave the rest blank … even their sex, if they aren't willing to share that either!

Maybe nothing is underneath the sticker and they just forgot to add the track listing to the art work?
I think that must be it because my sleeve of the 2-LP doesn't have a sticker nor a track listing.
This thread and holding the LP into my hands again bring back memories. My memory tells me that, even though I liked the film and Williams, Superman The Movie wasn't on the same level as the Star Wars or Close Encounters LPs. That's the power of big art work, they contain more room for storing memories. I almost feel sorry for youngsters and their USB sicks.

The entire one for Star Trek music won't fit on my dinette table, I'm afraid.
