Hi All

I am sure you are just the gang that can help me!

I have just updated to the latest iTunes and the box where you used to be able to paste your artwork has now gone.
When right clicking on the album it does not give you an option to "paste" either!

So the question is - how do you paste album artwork from the internet onto your albums on iTunes in the new updated version?

Many thanks for your help!

Brendon

Did you select one track in stead of the whole album? Then you can find what you're looking for under the tab 'Artwork'. (Could be called different, my version is Dutch -- it's the last tab.)

To my knowledge it has always been there, but I could be wrong. When you select an entire album (or season) then the artwork-box is under the 'Info'-tab where you described it.

Annoyingly, I found the ability to paste artwork was removed some years ago - prior to the last upgrade.

Same here. I've had iTunes since the early 2000s, but when I bought this fancy new Mac with its 27" screen last June, I couldn't figure out how to paste artwork, which is frustrating, because often Gracenotes gets it wrong or doesn't have it at all. Plus I used to use personal pics for some tunes (including an R-rated nude side shot of me standing next to my bike for one piece!) and can't seem to delete the pics if I want to burn them to a CD-R for someone. And don't get me started on the user UNfriendliness of the new iPhoto!!!

What I usually do is right-click on the album, click "Show Info" and then, under the "Info" tab, drag the (downloaded) image file onto the empty "Artwork" field (or whatever it's called in English; my version is in Danish) and then finally hit OK.

Does the second post in this thread provide any help? Mind you, there is a difference between changing the meta-info for ont track or multiple such as an entire album.

I don't wanna know. Seriously, I don't. wink

Oh agreed on that one! The Mac-version doesn't seem to be a priority over at Apple at the moment.

I've tried that. In fact I've tried every variation. It used to work but not now.

I am still on iTunes 10.7 and IOS 6 on my phone because they took that nice, big artwork box off
the sidebar. I think they put back a thumbnail view, but there's still no way to view large artwork as you click through your library using the column browser unless you are playing the track currently.

Actually when I do that, I can only change the image for the first track

Thank you! I have just cracked it thanks to you! Slightly different screen but it does the job.

If you select all the tracks in an album (or even just multiple tracks) and then hit command-I or Get Info, you will get the Artwork box in the Info tab just as you used to.

You will NOT get the Artwork box in the Info window if you select only one track at a time.

I appreciate the discussion as well. I never knew how to do this, and frankly never really kept up with album artwork.

I use a free program called MP3Tag to manage artwork and information in music files.

Available Here:
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

Even-though it is called MP3Tag it also supports FLAC and iTunes and a ton of other formats. It is free so check it out. smile

This 'how-to' is wrong!! Pics don't match reality!

Hey stupid, can't you read?
It clearly states:
"Right Click on one cue or select all to set the art for the whole album"

That's the thanks I get for spending twenty minutes trying to help you idiots figure out the simplest thing.
I swear to god nothing satisfies you assholes.
