A TIME OF DESTINY Music Composed, Orchestrated and Conducted by Ennio Morricone Limited Edition of 1000 units
Quartet Records, in collaboration with Virgin Records/Universal Music Special Markets, presents the long-awaited remastered reissue of one of Ennio Morricone’s best scores of the eighties, comparable in many ways to his masterpiece, The Mission.
A Time of Destiny was a 1988 film directed by Gregory Nava and starring William Hurt, Timothy Hutton, Melissa Theo, Stockard Channing and Francisco Rabal. The story was based on Giuseppe Verdi’s La forza del destino. For this operatic story about war, love, revenge and family, Morricone wrote a radiant, passionate score for orchestra and chorus, featuring one of his most unforgettable love themes (“Love and Dreams”).
Because the film master tapes could not be located, Quartet offers a remastered reissue (with much improved sound) of the original album program released by Virgin Records in 1989, conceived and produced by Morricone with his usual good taste. Fortunately, every major cue is represented on this CD, and only a small number of short cues and variations have been lost. The package includes a 12-page full-color booklet with liner notes by Tim Greiving.
FIN DE SEMANA AL DESNUDO Music Composed and Conducted by Antón García Abril Limited Edition of 500 units
Quartet Records and Gruppo Sugar present the world premiere release of Antón García Abril’s music for the 1974 bizarre Spanish comedy Fin de semana al desnudo, directed by Mariano Ozores and starring Alfredo Landa, Lina Morgan and Máximo Valverde.
The original score was composed by the iconic Spanish composer García Abril (Texas Addio, The Werewolf Versus the Vampire Woman, the Blind Dead series, Fortunata y Jacinta, Monsignor Quixote), in the same humoristic and romantic style that he employed for many comedies in the sixties and seventies. Although García Abril composed the score for over 300 films during his career, less than ten albums of his film music have been released, so we are delighted to begin to correct this.
Mastered by Claudio Fuiano from the original stereo tapes courtesy of Gruppo Sugar, the package includes an 8-page booklet with Spanish liner notes by Juan Sánchez.

I remember first hearing it in that WYATT EARP trailer, buying the EARP soundtrack (before I knew better), listening through the whole thing two or three times to make sure, then bringing it back to the store (before I knew better). I used to just call the "trailer department" at all the studios and they'd tell me. Back in the pre-information-is-everywhere-on-the-internet days!
It's quite disapointing that the end credits song isn't included... it's a nice one... but as I understand it, Eidelman wasn't directly involved, just provided thematic material on which the song was actually based by Jim Peterick. Sung by John Melnick.
i have a question for quartet records regarding beauty and the beast.
Available with two different booklet versions: French and English. is that mean that only the front cover is with french titles (belle bete) and all liner notes in English or the entire booklet is in french or english?
I'm eagerly anticipating it. Gans is not the best director out there but he does have a keen eye and I'm looking forward to this movie on a visual aesthetic level alone.
