Johnny Mandel's "The Americanization of Emily," which is also the film that has my favorite Garner performance. He was a tremendous presence on film and television, he could be droll and laconic, or sharp and conniving (or sometimes both simultaneously) - very sad to hear about his passing.

In light of the death of James Garner yesterday, what's your favorite score from a feature film he starred in? My favorite is "The Great Escape".

The Man was an incredible actor and deserves a bit more then a bunch of fanboys debating what film had the best score for which film he was in.

These kinds of gratuitous comments are unwarranted and undesirable. The best way to honour an actor is to think about his films and how they might have affected us and I'm sure James Garner would agree.
I feel the same way about these sorts of threads.
The Man hasn't even been BURIED BY HIS FAMILY.
The fact that you can't grasp this doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Well at last report I'm still among the living GARY WRIGHT..
I'm far from perfect, but at least try and learn from my mistakes and try and be a decent human being.
