Taught film music composition at my Alma Mater and had never even heard of Varese Sarabande. No apparent interest in any of his music seeing the light of day. Just as well - None of it's very good nor interesting. Anthony Gueffen has no film scores released, nor Czech/Canadian composer Milan Kymlicka has no releases that I'm aware of. Also pretty sure there isn't much by Alexander Laszlo out there. Kymlicka had 2-3 scores released at least. Yeah, that's unbelievable. He has done 30 film scores, but nothing in the last 4 years. Maybe he got fed up of not getting his music out there... Yavar Intrads did indeed put out a twofer with FIST OF THE NORTH STAR and TICKS, the former of which is enjoyable and spirited despite a large amount of synth stuff, the latter of which is pretty unlistenable. He is, however, an amazingly talented composer at his very best. Has anyone heard his score for the cheesy Predator rip-off DNA from 1997? It's awesome. Bill, I watched Operation Daybreak quite recently. It covers the same ground as a book I read last year, called HHH, about Heydrich's assassination in Prague, so I was quite interested. I actually enjoyed it, especially as it had a handful of decent actors in it quite unexpectedly. But one of the more interesting bits of it was the score, all electronic and in the main utterly inappropriate! That said, by the end of the film it somehow worked... Would I buy a release of it? He composed for 83 films according to the IMDB. Unfortunately, one of them had an LP release--1970's THE SAVAGE WILD.
