If Perseverance is doing a world premiere of a Vangelis score, I'd personally prefer it to be Missing (seems low-profile). That being said, Francesco has its own merits and would certainly be welcome, since it never showed up on V's compilation albums, unlike the end credits from Missing; it's just a shame that the 150-minute cut was never released on North American DVD.

Some releases take time not only because of rights issues, but because other varying reasons. We've seen Intrada state before some releases taking eight years or even ten years. It took a few years, for example, from the time of the Bernstein box of rejected scores coming being leaked, to when it actually came up for sale. Patience can be a virture.

Well, to be fair to Intrada, the difference is they didn't announce it over and over and over again. They did their work, and when it was ready then they announced it. There's a reason labels don't announce way in advance or before they know something is ready.

I think to be fair to Perseverance that they haven't really announced anything as they never said what the title is, just 'something' is coming. I think to be fair to those who've HAD perseverance, when someone has said over and over that a Holy Grail is coming but it never comes then perhaps silence is the best policy so that expectations are not built up.

"80s" and "holy grail" are contradictions. "Don't be mean. You don't have to be mean. Because remember, no matter where you go there you are."

So is this a thread about nothing? Well, they just recently announced a new Richard Band CD... Does that count??!!

"80s" and "holy grail" are contradictions. The 80s were one single holy grail.
