Siskel and Ebert weren't to kind with their productions. They pretty much said, Golan Globus wrote generic characters and plots on individual index cards, randomly put them up on a board and that was the movie. This isn't unheard of, I hear a lot of trashy novels are made this way too.

Edit: Opps! I thought this was in the non-score forum.

Nice to see that theres more love for Romitelli's score to GOD'S GUN. Almost thought I was alone.

I'm with Siskel & Ebert, I always thought their stuff was awful Euro trash and I avoided most of them
like the plague. The only decent film they produced (that I remember) was Runaway Train.
As for best score...I think Pino did a few of theirs, so maybe something by him or Making The Grade
by Poledouris (if that was by them).

For me it's Jerry's Wagner satire along with cool tribal and up to mysterious tracks besides his classy action stuff.

Glad what Intrada did for it as for sound (and a sorta pitch correction) and upgrade of content.

No disrespect for the lack of a list, just short in time...

As the director
  • "The Delta Force" (Silvestri; cues, but not the whole)

    As a producer:
  • "Powaqqatsi" (Philip Glass; cues -- I've not heard the whole thing yet)
  • "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace" (Courage)
  • "Making the Grade"
  • "The Wicked Lady"

Unbelievable as it may seem, I have not seen a single one of those films he either produced or directed...

Judging by your profile listing of your favorite composers, no loss anyway for you. But up today I would love to see KING SOLOMINE'S MINES again just to watch the score performing his duty part. Other than that, Sharon Stone's hair cut was off-putting big grin.

52 Pick-Up (Gary Chang) (long overdue by Varèse on CD)
    Runaway Train (Trevor Jones)
    Avenging Force (George S. Clinton)
    Bloodsport (Paul Hertzog)
Missing In Action 3 (Jay Chattaway)
    Invasion U.S.A. (Jay Chattaway)
Number One With A Bullet (Alf Clausen)
Over The Top (Giorgio Moroder), and a pity the best Moroder track isn't on the CD, but only
    a b-side
    here it is
