Well, not meaning to offend John Barry fans, but the prospect of possibility doing a new recording of King of Kings gets my juices flowing more than Moonraker...even though it will cost 3 to 4 times more!
Moonraker might still happen though...depending upon success of current Kickstarter campaign...as Nic Raine still keen to do Moonraker as he was such a good friend and colleague to John.

I went into Kickstarter as a guest and laid down CC number, name etc etc and clicked 'Pledge' but nothing seems to have happened. I have been waiting for a confirmation email but so far nothing.
Have I done it correctly?

I'm not on Facebook, but my CC contribution to the cause went through this morning without difficulty. I did receive an email confirmation shortly thereafter.

And I'll definitely consider any other kickstarters you decide to try in the coming years, whether it's The Ten Commandments, Moonraker or something I've never heard of.

I don't think King of Kings is going to be part of LLL's Black Friday titles. I'd think if someone does reissue the original recording, it will be a 3-CD set so to include the Rome album and the alternates from the Treasury set.

Works for me! I wasn't imagining that this would be one of the Black Friday titles, but somewhere down the line (hopefully while I'm still among the vertical) would do. Including a decent sounding reissue of the original M-G-M album would be a wonderful addition. That's all I have to say about the matter. Sorry to have diverted the discussion -- back to the supporting a new recording topic...
I sincerely hope this venture is successful one for James. I'am always in support of new modern recording of classic scores and this one would be no less deserving. I hope other projects can also be done this way!
