Thought I'd restart this thread and hopefully we can stay on topic. smile

Recent finds for me were a bunch of "For Your Consideration" CDs in a bargain bin for a buck each. The gems were Harry Gregson-Williams Deja Vu, and Theodore Shapiro's Devil Wears Prada scores. I also got Desplat's The Queen, and Andrew Lockridge's Journey To the Center Of The Earth.

I also found volume 4 of Rosenthal's Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

I just got back from Newbury Comics in Norwood, MA that has a very large Used CD inventory.

One of classics I found was J. Williams score to the Empire of the Sun for $5.99. I did not buy it. I already have the score.

Just found Johnny Williams' "Guide for the Married" man for $7 used the other day.
I felt the need to rescue it from languishing in the dusty soundtrack section. Poor little thing. Surrounded by dirty, derelict copies of Pulp Fiction and Dazed and Confused....

This year I got "Obsession" & "More Music From The Fall Of The Roman Empire" for £4 each, & "Elizabeth & Essex" - RCA Classic Film Scores for £5, from three different shops, all of which have since closed down!
My best buy was the Tiomkin RCA Classic Film Scores, for £12 delivered from Amazon Marketplace (UK). It does pay to keep checking Amazon.

I don't think I've found or bought a CD in a used bin for....7 years! Crikey, has it been that long?!

Back in the days before I'd picked clean the used bins of local record stores, I found the '95 re-issue of RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK for a mere $11. Doesn't mean much now, but at the time, I was rather giddy.

Also managed to pick up (off the top of my head):

THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (both the Capitol re-release and the Ryko version, seperated by a couple dollars)
ROBOCOP (for about $7; can you believe that someone actually gave this away?!)
SUNSET BLVD. (McNeely rerecording for $5; see above)

I've purchased from Newbury through Amazon. Unfortunately, it's lacking the thrill of leafing through the bins.

Sadly, Cincy has little in the way of decent used stores, with maybe the exception of Everybody's Records. Unfortunately, they cater toward the rock crowd and don't have a lot of interest in our little sub-group.

Not exactly a used bin, but I found a copy of PSYCHO II at a flea market. In Memphis, Tennessee. For 3 bucks.

The only used soundtrack CD I've bought recently was THE BOURNE SUPREMACY. Paid 2 bucks for it.

That said, I also found a Roy Harris CD on the now-defunct Bay Cities label as well. Paid 5 bucks for that. I wouldn't have been disappointed had I paid full price for a new copy. It's stellar.
