Elmer Bernstein

Finally! Long-awaited world premiere release of much-wanted Elmer Bernstein score. This album was sequenced, edited and prepared by the composer himself at the time of the film's release. When the film fared poorly at the box office plans for a soundtrack release were scrapped. With the collaboration of the Bernstein Estate and the USC Library of Cinematic Arts, Perseverance Records is now able to bring you the album the way Elmer Bernstein wanted it to be presented. Taken from the composer's own tapes housed at USC and digitally restored, this music sounds as crisp and clean as if it was recorded yesterday. Bullseye!

Limited to 3000 copies.

Will ship the first week of April.

1. Prologue and Pursuit 3:12
2. Escape 3:01
3. Dreams 4:07
4. Lost Android 3:01
5. Slipstream People 2:49

7. Travel to Dance 5:55

Sounds incredible!
The hairs on the back of the neck certainly went off listening to "Resolution"
Will the usual suspects like SAE and Intrada stock this?

I would assume so. This was only turned on for pre-ordering about an hour ago, and both SAE and Intrada are closed down for the night (locally, that is).

Brilliant news! Ordered!

This is one of my Bernstein favourites next to his scores for pictures like Heavy Metal, Saturn 3, Airplane! And The Great Escape.

Listened to the sound clips. Sounded very "fan-friendly". Fanfaric, traditional, adventure space music. smile

I'm not familiar with either film or score, but it certainly proves Bernstein's versatility.
