Water Tower Records will be releasing the OST for Hans Zimmer's Man Of Steel on June 11th.
There are two versions available, and they are BOTH two-disc sets
And if this is anything like The Hobbit release then you'll have to buy the extended edition to get the bonus tracks not on the standard edition while having to also buy the standard edition to get the alternate cues that aren't available on the extended edition.
OK, apart from the fact that I couldn't care less about the "Man of Steel" score, this new trend is rather irritating. What's the point of issuing two double-CD versions and naming one of them "Deluxe" just because it has a couple of extra tracks and a different CD case?
And for An Unexpected Journey, the US version of the Deluxe Edition (actually called Special Edition) came in different packaging than the Internation pressings of the Deluxe/Special Edition (which were made by Sony)
we'll they're both cheap enough so a good deal for either one even if we don't know the difference yet. this is clearly the score zimmer has spent the majority of his focus on for the year. you don't have to love it, though i often find i do, but i'm baffled at the negativity. zimmer is often experimenting and trying new things with his "main-focus" picture like the batmans and inceptions and ,regardless of the result, i find it all pretty different from what else it out there. akin to goldsmith's experimental stages in the 60's that brought us planet of the apes? there is said it. have at that, but i for one an pumped for this and glad to see some substantial releases right from the get go.
