La-La Land Records, Sony Music and Warner Bros. present the first expanded and remastered release in a special line of titles celebrating the 90th Anniversary of Warner Bros. -- John Williams’ original motion score to the acclaimed 1997 Warner Bros. feature film ROSEWOOD, starring Jon Voight, Ving Rhames and Don Cheadle, and directed by John Singleton. Mr. Williams’ work here is a wonder – a hauntingly beautiful fusion of blues, jazz, gospel and traditional film scoring that is as deftly subtle as it is powerful. Greatly expanded from its initial soundtrack album, this is the definitive release of the ROSEWOOD score, featuring the instrumental score on Disc 1 and the remastered original 1997 motion picture soundtrack on Disc 2. Produced by Mike Matessino and Didier C. Deutsch, and mastered by Mike Matessino, this special release is limited to 3500 units and features exclusive in-depth liner notes by film music writer Jeff Bond.

La-La Land Records and New Line Cinema present the world premiere release of renowned composer Shirley Walker’s (BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, THE FLASH, TURBULENCE) original motion picture score to the 2003 New Line Cinema feature film WILLARD, starring Crispin Glover, R. Lee Ermey, Laura Elena Harring and Kimberly Patton, and directed by Glen Morgan. This brilliant and haunting orchestral horror score is one of Walker’s finest, incorporating a unique, almost Herrmannesque use of accordions. Thematically rich, Walker’s spellbinding music is as thoughtfully heartbreaking as it is atmospheric. Produced by Neil S. Bulk and mastered by James Nelson, this special release of 3000 units features in-depth liner notes by writer John Takis that include comments from the director and others. Note: the song “Ben” as performed by Crispin Glover was not available to license for this release.

Long out of print, this delightful western score from legendary composer Jerry Goldsmith (RIO LOBO, PATTON, THE OMEN, BASIC INSTINCT) returns to CD sounding better than ever and featuring the Main Title, sans whistle, as a new Bonus Track. Produced by Nick Redman and Mike Matessino and mastered by Matessino, this special release is limited to 2000 units and features exclusive liner notes by writer Julie Kirgo.

La-La Land Records and CBS present the remastered release of legendary composer Jerry Goldsmith’s (PATTON, THE OMEN, ALIEN, BASIC INSTINCT) original score to the 1982 motion picture THE CHALLENGE (aka SWORD OF THE NINJA and THE EQUALS), starring Scott Glenn, Toshiro Mifune and Donna Kei Benz, and directed by John Frankenheimer. This release marks the premiere presentation of the film version of the score. Mr. Goldsmith’s modern-day samurai action/drama was scored during what was arguably one of the greatest, most diverse moments of his career (other films he scored that were released in ’82 were FIRST BLOOD, POLTERGEIST, SECRET OF NIHM and INCHON). The composer’s work here is complex action scoring at its finest. Produced by MV Gerhard and remastered by James Nelson, this release features spectacular sound and includes the film version of the finale, (Two alternate takes of the finale are included here as bonus tracks, as is the alternate mix of “The Wrong Sword,” featuring the prominent mixing bowls). The CD booklet features all-new liner notes by film music writer Jeff Bond, who marks his 50th Goldsmith writing project with this release! This is a Limited Edition of 3000 Units.

La-La Land Records and Paramount Pictures present the CD premiere of legendary composer Elmer Bernstein’s (THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, TRUE GRIT, AIRPLANE, GHOSTBUSTERS) original scores to Paramount Pictures’ acclaimed westerns starring John Wayne, THE SHOOTIST (1976) and THE SONS OF KATIE ELDER (1965). Bernstein’s original score tracks for THE SHOOTIST make their world premiere on this release, mastered from ¼’’ stereo mixes. This release also marks the CD premiere of Bernstein’s re-recording and arrangement of his THE SONS OF KATIE ELDER score for the original Columbia Records soundtrack CD, which presents adaptations of his film cues, sometimes combining two or more of them in single tracks, while other selections begin with music from the film, but continue as extended arrangements of specific melodies. Included is the title song performed by Johnny Cash, as well as the John Wayne narration. Also featured is a rare version of the title song performed by Ernie Sheldon and released as a single when the film opened. While the KATIE ELDER original film score tracks have not survived, the original LP has been remastered from the master tapes in the Sony Music vaults. Produced by Neil S. Bulk and Lukas Kendall and mastered by Doug Schwartz, this release includes exclusive, in-depth liners from film music writer Jeff Bond and is limited to 2000 units.

La-La Land Records and 20th Century Fox present the expanded and remastered release of James Newton Howard’s (FLATLINERS, THE FUGITIVE, DAVE, WYATT EARP) acclaimed original motion picture score to the beloved 1991 feature film GRAND CANYON, starring Kevin Kline, Mary McDonald, Danny Glover and Steve Martin, and written and directed by Lawrence Kasdan. The renowned composer’s powerful and diverse score teems with humanity, expertly supporting the complex emotions and drama examined within Kasdan’s thoughtful, multi-storied study of contemporary Los Angeles, and by extension, the American way of life. This special limited edition contains more than 25 minutes of score not found on the original soundtrack release. (Please note: the Warren Zevon song is not included here).
