You would think Horner will not let the complete be released.

I've always been puzzled by these super expensive CDs. Most of the time the scores themselves are nice enough, but more often than not they turn out to be 'average' works that are valuable mostly due their rarity. For instance, La Revolution Française, an okay score, is going for more than 400.00$ at SAE. For 20.00$ one could easily obtain two better scores from the same composer. I purchased a copy of The Dark Half - Christopher Young - for less than 5.00$ (in a used bin)20 years ago and it gets far more mileage than an expensively acquired promo of another of his scores. I must have more than 100 cds that are 'worth' way upwards of 100.00$ and yet most of them get comparatively little play in relation to their 'value'. Any thoughts?

With the exception of a few sold out limited releases, I actually have no idea which of my scores are out of print and worth quite some cash. I believe Goldsmith's McArthur is pretty rare (at least so I read once), but it's probably my least played Goldsmith score. Bought it a couple of years ago for a couple of bucks at a secondhand store.

My choice would be: - Centurion (Ilan Eshkeri) - El Cid - La leyenda (Oscar Araujo) - Transporter II (Alexandre Azaria) - La Revolution francaise (Georges Delerue) - Tour du monde tour du ciel (Georges Delerue) - Obsession (Herrmann) - Concert suites (Herrmann) - Under the volcano (North) - The dead (North) To name only a few
