Well, obviously, the ST-TOS box set.
I don't see spending like that ever again unless it was something like a super-complete James Bond box.
I once spent $40 on a single (used, rare) disc. The most I would ever spend, I think.
But now I can't remember what album it was.

Me too for the STAR TREK set. It was actually a present from my wife, but I suppose it was "our" money!
I don't consider that too expensive at all for what it is. It might be more useful to give examples (as some of you have done) of ONE single item, as opposed to box-sets, that you shelled out loads for. In that case, I think I'd have to go back in time to about the late '70s, with my annual trips to 58 Dean Street. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they have LPs on sale for between 20 and 30 pounds? That was a lot of money back then for an LP, but I think that's what I paid for things like BARBARELLA, SCORPIO, ONE-EYED JACKS and CLEOPATRA... I think. Or is my memory playing tricks on me again? Timmer, do you remember?
