Actually, the score is apparently by Henry Jackman and Matthew Margeson:

Amazon blurb:

Presenting the original motion picture score to the all-new feature film Kick-Ass 2, starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jim Carrey, directed by Jeff Wadlow. Acclaimed composers Henry Jackman (This Is The EndWreck It RalphX-Men: First ClassKick-Ass) and Matthew Margeson (Transformers PrimeSkylineBurning Palms) back the highly-anticipated return of the unconventional heroic duo Kick-Ass and Hit Girl with a full-throttle, super-charged action score as they face-off once more against the vengeful-minded Red Mist. This score is a sonic blast - and the perfect compliment to this rip-roaring, big-screen sequel to the original cult smash Kick-AssKick-Ass 2 opens in theaters nationwide August 13, 2013.

This is La-La Land's first Henry Jackman release!

Jackman was busy scoring Turbo & other stuff, that's why Matt Margeson, who handled most of it, got a co-credit here... wink

Captain Philips doesn't open until October, and Kick-Ass opens in August. Surely he had time to finish Kick-Ass first before moving on to Captain Philips?

Loved the crap out of the score for the first one. It's a shame there's no John Murphy involvement.

Yeah, the first score (promo) was great, despite all the different composers. Personally, I think I liked Marius de Vries' material the best.

At least they have narrowed it down to TWO this time.

I really liked the mix of all the different composers. Elfman was even in there.
Back in the day it would have been a wet dream to have had a film score by Barry, Goldsmith and Williams!

Amazon's listing for Kick-Ass 2 now lists it as a "Deluxe Extended Edition", so like Evil Dead, the LLL physcal CD version is longer than the (so far un-announced) digital download version!
