Neil Norman from CGN Crescendo will also be joining the signing.

We are working with Universal to get some Drag Me to Hell posters & items for Christopher Young to sign too.

Mark -

IPAs are pretty damned tasty, huh? If I had to pick a favorite for one available year round (rather than limited edition ones like Avery's "Maharaj" or Moylan's "Hopsicle"), it would be Russian River's "Pliny the Elder," although Green Flash's "West Coast IPA" is very close second, being consistently fantastic from 6-pack to 6-pack.

My buddy and I have only been homebrewing together for not quite a year and a half. This will be our 8th batch, but only our 4th all grain batch.

If it turns out well, and Lukas is okay with me bringing some to the FSM event, I'll be happy to share!

CCW1970,

Love IPA, but then I'm a real "hop head" so it stands that that would be the case! I started home brewing back in the mid 80s and brewed off and on until the late 90s. Haven't done it much since then, but I'm looking into starting up again. Thanks for the pointers on the IPAs. Armed with knowledge, I can devise a game plan for beer hunting while I'm there that weekend! Cheers!

It just hit me that last year we were given the opportunity to order from SAE with free shipping and picked up our orders at the event. Since Craig and Ed are coming here for this I'd think we might have a repeat of that this year.

It's coming up to 4 weeks, any chance you guys might repeat this offer?

Well, my final May on-call schedule is out. The finagling, wrangling, elbow-twisting, bargaining, conflict-management, and begging is over. Bad news for me. Too many other docs also planned (in more advance than I did) to be away that weekend. I'll be stuck holding down the fort at Labor and Delivery for the weekend of May 29-30-31, so I'll have to live the weekend vicariously through this thread. Please take photos and post them and report on the festivities. I'll be watching with relish and envy. I was really hoping to meet everyone this time. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Never one to give up, I still have my eye cast on the horizon for the Labor Day weekend John Williams and David Newman concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, the Fright Night Halloween Concert with the Garden State Pops (Saturday, Oct. 24th) (thanks for the reminder, Stu!), and the second Jerry Goldsmith UCLA David Newman/Youth Symphony Orchestra concert (in December?).

Now I have to call a patient 7-months pregnant with twins who is afraid that she has the swine flu!

Not sure if anyone would want one, but I'm thinking of making several copies of last years varese bash DVD that I had on line and few people asked for privately, to hand out at the FSM event, if anyone wants a copy, free of course, no strings attached, well unless you want to buy me a beer afterwards if we go out!!

The earlier time with the longer time frame helps make it easier for those wanting to go the the various early evening events to leave early. As for me, the longer the better to schmooze with you guys! Thumbs up!

I will have at the 2nd Annual FilmScoreMonthly Gathering 35 copies of my Varese DVD so whoever comes and wants it on DVD with chapter stops and better quality than the online version, you'll get a chance to have one. My little way of giving back to my fellow filmscore buds who have helped me throughout the world!!
