Are you related to Tyler or just the worst fanboy EVER? Your "news" and constant praise of even the most mediocre Tyler score(s) just isn't normal.

How 'bout just politely ignoring the Tyler posts if you don't like them. Some folks here like his work. Imagine that. And furthermore, some people interact with him online or have met him at film music events; he's a nice guy! It's also possible that he visits this forum. So...be nice, will ya?

So would anyone like to take a crack at film order?

It's hard to do - there's over 95 minutes of music, and released cd isn't complete.

What does the CD's completeness have to do with arranging what's on the CD into film order?

Also, Machionic: thank you !

Wicked. What a lucky dude.
He's getting all the big gigs lately. Really looking forward to hear where he goes with this. Iron Man 3 was one of my favorite scores of the year.
Gonna hold off listening to the clips before I see the film.

You can stream the soundtrack album on Spotify if you want to hear more than just clips before the CD is released.

Is there any advantage to getting the iTunes version over the physical CD?

1. You get it now.
2. It's half the price.

All that said, I already pre-ordered the CD from Intrada. I want that physical copy, with liner notes to read and the possibility of it being signed.

Just listening to the score as a whole. Well, the thematic material is predictably simplistic and unmemorable, and the score is overkill from start to finish (how it could it not be), but it's also immediately obvious that there's someone behind it who actually KNOWS how to compose orchestral music - which elevates the whole thing above the RCP garbage by a few notches. There's a wee bit of nuance, and it's less mind-numbingly monotonous than one would have expected. It's derivatrive

Still, one's always under the impression that Tyler could be capable of something much more distinct if only he decides to slow down and not accept *any* project that comes his way (also, he might not need as many ghost writers).

Yeah he is quite capable. Children of Dune comes to mind. I expect just like Doyle on Thor (1) Tyler was neutered.
