HEAVEN CAN WAIT, but I can't! Thanks, Bruce, you've just made my week! I will be ordering this on Monday. I've been wanting a full release since the film came out in 1978. The only recording of the main theme I've had up until now has been on Grusin's CINEMAGIC album. I was 16 when the movie came out, and I probably saw it 5 times in the theater. The entire cast just sparkles. Great memories.
That's a beaut of a cover, to be sure! I've always loved that poster art. It looks great on a CD cover. Will it be a reversible inlay/cover, for the Racing With The Moon score?

Now that FSM has back issues available to all, I was reading Vol.10 No.5 2005, mainly for the Michael Small article however there is a little tid bit on Alien Nation. The worship of Goldsmith was strong.
I hope to hear Michael Small's 2000 work Endurance: Shackleton's Legendary Antarctica Expedition some day on disc.
In the better late than never department.... ALIEN NATION arrived today!!! Delayed due to ordering with THIEF (also starring Caan)
Checked out the liners immediately, I have to say interesting fact about the proposed usage of the name George Jetson. Though, Bruce, did anyone point out that, in the film the Alien was actually named Sam Francisco. Caan's character refuses to call him that and chooses to call him George from then on. Your liners flip-flop this info. I Never was a fan of the series, but I liked the movie very much due to Patinkin's performance & chemistry with Caan.
I hope not, though this isn't a Blu-ray I plan to buy -- I really don't think the movie is that good. I just remembered I bought TT's UNDER FIRE but have yet to watch it and I understand the commentary track is one of the better ones.
