But with many autographed booklets I've seen, they look more vandalized than signed.

I'm going to go out on a very short limb here and just plainly call you a goddamn unknowing and unappreciative ass.

He actually drew music bars on the back cover? How creative, and that is beyond cool!

You need to be reminded, Mr. LeHah, that it was you who was so "appreciative" of an autograph Mr. Goldenthal gave you, that you complained about his handwriting in a post on this very forum:

LeHah FSM posting:
"I think the nicest one I have is from Joe Kraemer... as opposed to Elliot Goldenthal who tends to write so quickly you can make out "E" and "G" on it".

The "very short limb" you mentioned just snapped, you hypocrite.

Amer's Ottman autograph with music notation is outstanding. Very nice!

I posed a new group portrait to commemorate getting the LLL set:

That is a nice touch. Bernard Herrmann used to sign autographs like that. He was signing one of his Decca Phase 4 LPs in Wardour Street in London and when it came to my turn, he asked which was my favorite track and I said The Day the Earth Stood Still. So he wrote down the first few notes and signed, in a similar manner to Amer's Ottman autograph. Difference was he signed the white inner-sleeve rather than the cover – in those pre-Sharpie marker days, his fountain pen wasn't much use on the glossy covers.

Thanks and Fantastic Story! Share the picture please. How lucky you were to meet this great genius composer whose works and personality are both legendary. I did a 2 hour tribute show on Herrmann on our Erik Wood's website radio show.

Haven't seen my old LPs in the 20+ years since I left England and moved to San Francisco. Should be still stored in a box in my mother's loft in London, with a ton of other stuff I didn't bring over here.

Is that a complaint of mine? Or a simple statement of the resulting autograph?

More over, look at the words I used and you won't find anything close to your indicative term of "vandalism".

I'll echo what solium said in stating that that is indeed awesome. Did you straight-up just beseech him to write out the sheet music for Lex's theme?

When I found out, a few days ago, that autographed copies of LLL's release of Superman Returns had sold out, for a split second, I was seriously bummed out. Then, I remembered that a few years ago, I sent the liner notes booklet for the OST to a friend out in Cali, who had Ottman "christen" it at a composer signing. smile

So how bout being appreciative of the talented artistry of Christopher Nolan, J.J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof? Or will you pay $12 for a ticket to see their next movie and ragequit halfway through it for the 17th time?

You have every right to say your opinion the moment you stop stalking and harassing various FSM members on Twitter.

Thanks Mikal. Yes, I had to request him politely. And he obliged. Infact I had asked for the X MEN 2 booklet from the La La Land 2cd set and he sent the whole set signed too. Quite a wonderful kind and down to earth gentlemen.

Oh, you think you have found a friend to side with you against one of your foes Senn55?

You guys have completely ruined this thread!

You have every right to say your opinion the moment you stop stalking and harassing various FSM members on Twitter.

I believe making an @ mention to one or two people (with one account being publicly accessible) is not "stalking and harassing". But keep reaching for that gold star. smile

Also, it's cute when you talk about not "stalking and harassing" people, considering your ten-page college essay about me on page 2 in this thread.
http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=86117&forumID=7&archive=0

Also, you're disrespecting rule #3 of the board:

"3) With apologies to Google: Don’t be evil. You don’t have to be Pollyanna but don’t be a jerk, please? The world would be very boring (and so would our board) if we all had the same opinions, but be nice to each other."

Time to lock down the thread now that you're resorting to personal attacks, methinks? wink
