Didn't know they changed the composer for Thor 2, and was thoroughly disappointed when I saw the film. The first film's main theme was excellent and very memorable. Come to think of it, I can't even remember one bit about the second film's score.

"Brainwaves synching in real time to music from Thor 2: The Dark World. Observe how the brain goes from average functioning to high functioning just from listening to music via neurofeedback." :

You have got to be joking!!!!!!!!!!!

"Acoustic Labs" - Brian Tyler 's amazing theme for Marvel's Thor: The Dark World on acoustic guitar. For Asgard!:

Go inside the creation of the score for Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" with composer Brian Tyler in a new featurette clip!

honestly if not for Tyler's name on the credits, I would have thought that this was done by one of Zimmer's lesser known shadow composers.

tooooooo derivative of Zimmer's style to the point that I could have sworn that this was Zimmer's sketchbook for one of the Pirates movies

And yet I think it sounds a heck of a lot like Tyler's work on Transformers: Prime and Iron Man 3. It's Tyler's Big Earnest Epic sound.

I like Tyler a lot, but does all of his stuff sound like this?

I do have a hard time complaining about scores that stick in my head for days on end.

Check out Tyler's Standing Up. It's a great glimpse at his quieter, lyrical side.

Brian conducting his theme from "Thor: The Dark World" at Tauron Arena in Krakow/Poland for 15,000 people. cool

I haven't played this in a long time, kinda get the feeling "Into Eternity" was tracked from Dragonheart. wink

I listened to this again quite recently and was surprised by how dated it sounds already. I do like it though.

I have a fan edit I enjoy, though playing it again struck me how much it sounds like... Wonder Women!
