I, too, am experiencing difficulty playing the last few tracks of Disc 12. Seemingly random pops and clicks, as mentioned above. It gets worse when you attempt to rip to a hard-drive.

Other than that, I am enjoying this amazing set immensely!

I haven't had any problems playing or ripping the BOBW tracks. I did have a bit of trouble ripping some tracks on other discs, but I think that was just my laptop's optical drive overheating as I tried again on another computer and everything sounds okay so far.

On the music itself: I've only made the time for one run-through of the entire set, but I was really struck by the evolution of the Klingon music. I never noticed it while watching the show, but over the years Jones' music for them got less wild and more subtle--well, about as subtle as the Klingons ever got. It really makes the set of Klingon episodes a nice listen if you arrange them together, and makes me wonder what he might've been able to do with the material if he'd stayed in the franchise through DS9.

The disc 12 master is clean but apparently some discs came out "bad" from the replication. Contact SAE for a replacement is all I can tell you.

Thanks, Lukas. You and SAE are always A+ for customer service on these matters. Checking out the business in the other thread ... heartbreaking. Give 'em hell.

How odd that you had problems ripping the set glenniebun. I actually had no problems what so ever. Some of the discs were actually loosened from their holders but luckily they didn't get damaged.

What a wonderful set this is. There's as much care put into the presentation as the music itself. It's an absolute treasure chest of melodies.

A few tracks from my disc 12 rip had a bunch of audio artifacts as well, i'll compare to the CD to see if it was just a problem with the rip before I call just to make sure. Thanks Lukas.

I just had to come on and say to everyone involved THANK YOU for putting together an incredible set! I'm about half way though and have enjoyed this immensely. Many of my all time favorite cues are on this set, such as the openings to "11001001" and "Evolution", Yar's funeral cue from "Skin of Evil", plus a few new favorites like "The Royale" and "Booby Trap"! Once again you've proven that FSM is the best!

All of my discs play and read perfect (checked disc 12 yesterday). It's such a massive collection of cues to go through and I just love having this amount of music of just one show.

Ah crap it appears I have a defective disc. Disc 9 tracks 31 and 32 will NOT rip right no matter what I try. I've tried it on two different computers with the same results. I contacted SAE about getting a replacement for that disc. Everything else has been perfect though.

Checked mine and its ok , I did however need a replacement for disc 12 , I got it today and it was better. Make sure if you rip through itunes you have the error correction checked, that helps in ripping.

When ripping to iTunes, did anyone else notice that the Disc 8 info shows it as the Dennis McCarthy Project? smile

I didn't have any other problems with any of the other discs, except that one. I don't rip my score in iTunes. The only time I use iTunes is when I put scores onto my iPod.

I even ripped the effected tracks in Adobe Audition 3.0 and they wouldn't even extract fully. A little half way through the extract it would get hung up and not extract any more. So something right there told me there was a problem with the disc itself.

Hi.
I bought the box, but not to SAE (--> MovieMusic.com).
How may I ask for a replacement CD ? I'm in France.
Regards
Lionel

I guess Lukas can chime in here but I believe he said he will replace any of his cds no matter where you got it, and SAE is their main distributer.
The only thing they ask is that you request another one with your next order with them, I asked for another Disc 12 , no fuss , no reason, no questions asked , Done. Hows that for service.
