Anyone in the UK or possibly Europe who has received their box, can you say how it arrived? Was it via courier or the postal system?

Beginning to wonder whether mine has gone walkies.

Isn't it possible it's at Customs? A huge package that's worth 500 bucks won't go unnoticed that easily.

Customs didn't get mine as it had been shipped from Germany.
The postal service did take care of it.

Mine (Norway) was also sent from Germany but arrived at Customs. I did get a notice the day after they got it, though. In which I went there and picked it up myself. smile

I could be wrong, only speculating, but I think they sent MANY of these in some large bundle, possibly to avoid some customs here and there and then from there sent them out. Mine was NOT shipped from California, mine was shipped from, Louisville, KY or some place here in the USA. Hearing some didn't have to pay customs etc. makes me think that's what they did. Course maybe it was a lot cheaper for them to send a great big bundle to let's say some country, and then from there send them out. I have no idea how this works, so I may be completely wrong.

So for those of you who do have the box set, what's the highlight of the new material for you?

I would love to hear the unreleased Big Fish music - to my ears it is the most underrated Burton/Elfman score, aggravated in part by its album presentation

Like I stated earlier, I think, I really like Elfman's quieter side so Big Fish is just WONDERFUL. Granted I like it all, but I keep coming back to the quieter stuff. I also like the disc that has vocal less versions of many songs. I LOVE song singles that have the song and instrumental. They are just getting harder to find these days.

I didn't see it listed so, for The Nightmare Before Christmas the bonus tracks on the USB go:

32 - Jingle Bells goes after 15 - Kidnap the Sandy Claws
33 - Here Comes Santa Claus goes after 20 - Oogie Boogie's Song

Got mine in Ireland on monday. It was delivered by local parcel post. But bizzarely it had been sent through the UK first and had been open by UK customs. I order a lot of stuff online and this is the first time I have seen this. The box was perfect though and I didn't have to pay any duty as it shipped from germany.

Hope yours shows up soon, it is overdue by now I reckon.

There is so much to admire here. I am really impressed with the audio quality on the Batman disc.
I love the Scissorhands ballet material and demos. And Big Fish is fantastic.

Is anyone willing to split their set up? I'm looking to purchase just the Big Fish disk from the set. If you're interested in selling, please send me an email to caavis@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Chris.

Pee-Wee is definitely the highlight of the set for me! Still one of my all-time favorite movies and definitely one of my all-time favorite scores. I am hoping it gets a full release individually someday (I know others have stated that Varese still owns the rights), because these tracks sounds so amazing now!! In the meantime I am using my personal DVD rip (which I sweetened and leveled out the audio for) along with these newly released tracks so I can have a 'complete' album. BeetleJuice is also a nice plus since I had ripped the DVD Iso track as well (which sounded decent, but not as good).

I already had LaLaLand's Batman & Batman Returns releases, although getting the "Joker Flies..." complete is a very nice surprise bonus that I was not expecting (granted, it's only about 5 extra seconds of music). Nightmare and Scissorhands are my other favorites from this set. I already had Mars Attacks! so other than the film version of 'Landing' is not really fresh. As for Alice, Apes, Sleepy, Charlie and Big Fish - I've still got to listen to them....but those have never been favorites of mine (not that I don't like 'em, they just don't connect or resonate with me quite as much). I suppose I am more of a fan of Elfman's earlier scores I guess.

I wonder what those Excel files forgotten on the skeleton USB key are.
One is even a $12,794 invoice on date 07/01/2011...

Before dropping this exhausted thread into the oblivion I'm going to show you, my fellow skeletons, hot to "squeeze" the Elfman/Burton music encyclopedia to the proper shape of the shelf. All this with a little help of my scissorhands mate... well, I did almost nothing, you may know I'm a bit lazy.

(I'm grateful to all the guys who posted the high-res covers before.)
