Yes, I know that Piccioni is listed there, but it seems to be a misinformation so that maybe he was originally slated to do it, but then refused.
Anyway, the Italian SIAE lists only Cenciarelli as composer for 10 MERAVIGLIE and the score belongs to the old Italian RCA catalogue.

Anybody listened to BEAT's Le Altre? No samples yet at SAE.
Just received it today, & listening to it as I write this - it's wonderful, very close in style to Camille 2000, the title track in particular. Some lovely stuff, especially if you're into the late 60's/early 70's lounge style that Piccioni was composing.
Cuore di Cane is next month's Piccioni release.
Thank you bewlay, I must have it, cannot resist Piccioni.
Hmm, I hope that Cuore di Cane, from 1976, does not mean we are near the end of the series.

Great news about CUORE DI CANE which has a wonderful Russian soprano aria which serves as a main theme for the entire score.
So there is still hope for PER QUESTA NOTTE (formerly with two very nice tracks on a CAM single in 1977), although also a bit of an obscure title, and above all for CRISTO SI È FERMATO A EBOLI from 1979.
As I wrote before, CAM has almost no Piccioni title from the early 70s which explains the upcoming release of CUORE DI CANE (which, by the way, comes directly from Sugar and not from the CAM catalogue).

Do you think there's a good chance that Beat will release CRISTO SI È FERMATO A EBOLI?
It's Piccioni, but the score doesn't fit in with the usual types of scores released by Beat.
It's more of a traditional orchestral score, without the eccentricities & lounge flavours that Beat usually favours.
I can see Digitmovies, Quartet or Kronos releasing this score, & I hope they do, if not Beat!
I'm still holding out for Tre Fratelli as well, another wonderful melancholic score similar to Cristo.

But Beat has also released for example Trovajoli's great orchestral war score for ITALIANI BRAVA GENTE last year. So why should there be no chance that they might also release Piccioni's CRISTO SI È FERMATO A EBOLI?
The intention of the Piccioni series on Beat has been to show the various stylistical facets of Piccioni's artisty through many of his till now unreleased scores and by proceeding chronologically through several decades.
With CUORE DI CANE we will have arrived in the year 1975 and afterwards there is not such a large selection of famous Piccioni titles anymore which have not already been released on CD before. Also there are only two more Piccioni feature films in the CAM catalogue after 1975 - namely, PER QUESTA NOTTE and EBOLI - so that the chance for a release of EBOLI is there.
Probably not coupled with the wonderful TRE FRATELLI on one CD, because the later score is owned by another music publisher so that I rather expect EBOLI on a CD by itself. Almost all of the titles in the Piccioni series till now have come from the CAM catalogue. Therefore I see no reason why EBOLI also from that catalogue should not be released in a few months.
