FIVE MILLION YEARS TO EARTH - Deserted Harbour - composed by Dennis Farnon. After all the mayhem and destruction that just hit London in the previous minutes, this quiet and pretty cue reminds us that all is calm again, but at a price - the loss of their friend, of lives destroyed and the scary truth of the origins of man. Another composer could have gone for something bold and dramatic. The producers opted to track this soothing cue instead, thus leaving the viewers to ponder quietly on what preceded. Haunting.

Edited from an earlier post: FIVE MILLION YEARS TO EARTH - Deserted Harbour (End Titles) - composed by Dennis Farnon. After all the mayhem and destruction that hit London during the films climactic scene, this quiet and pretty cue reminds us that all is calm again, but at a price - the loss of their friend Roney, of lives destroyed and the scary truth of the possible origins of man. Another composer could have gone for something bold and dramatic. Wisely and in a rare instance of finesse, the producers opted to track this soothing cue instead, thus leaving the viewers to ponder quietly on the events that preceded. Haunting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHTqI__gaLo

AMITYVILLE 7-A NEW GENERATION-93-Nice pretty melody played during opening credits and later on in certain scenes by DANIEL LICHT. Haven't heard this one myself Mr. DanTheMan, but almost all of Mr. Licht's early horror scores had a pretty melody or two in them. Be it Children of the Night, Children of the Corn or even Stephen Kings Thinner, all were drenched in pretty melodic inspirations.
