I've never been too big on Tiomkin. There, I said it.

Why it matters is beyond me, but since you asked, no, I am not buying this CD. I'm not a fan of music from this era.

I do not purport to be a film music aficionado, nor am I buying this album. I have zero interest in westerns, unless they are covered with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese.

Very good answer Mr. Whittenburg.

Throw me on that list of shame. My love of film scores begins in the 70's.

All will be made clear in my own good time.

I don't generally like to announce what I'm not buying, because I greatly admire LLL for taking a chance on a score from this era. But like a few others here, I'm not a Tiomkin guy. I've tried, believe me. But the Tiomkins I can listen to I can count on one hand (and still have some fingers left over). He's just not my thing.

I love scores from this era. Put a Waxman, or a Herrmann, or a Friedhofer, Raksin, North (etc.) up for sale and I am powerless to resist. But Tiomkin grates on me. So no sale to me. I hope it sells wonderfully to other people, though.

I've already bought it, and being a very considerate person I won't be depriving anyone else of any copy of the others in this batch!

Is it because you're making a list and checking it twice? Damn, now I get coal for Christmas! ;-)

Me, too old school for my taste. Plus I don't even know what an OK Corral is. I suspect a place where people shoot at each other when an 80's score gets released?

Those who purport to be film music aficionados but do not purchase such a great score need to be exposed here as charlatans.
Admit your folly by adding your name to this List of Shame if you do not intend to acquire this long-lost and now miraculously-resurrected score.

Nope not me. But I can't wait for the remake with a Hans Zimmer score big grin

I will be buying it but not until other releases have died down.

Brought the LW set, Police Academy, Superman Returns & Defiance from LLL

Now we have Varese, Kritzerland, Intrada & Quartet all with releases still to come.

I remember a few years back labels took a rest in December.
