Just received my copy today. I can't wait to spin them later this evening. Thanks again, LLL. Fine set, indeed.

Can someone tell me if the title cue for LW2 is included? Its a very short, comedic cue which I have always loved.

Yes, it is.

You can hear the sound clip of that cue on LLL's site now.

Should be getting the set today! So excited.

My favorite score of the series (and I'm probably alone on this) is probably Lethal Weapon 3 actually -- it's my favorite film of the series too. Always played the hell out of the previous release of that entry. Of course that could change now -- haven't heard much of Lethal 2 outside of the film and can't remember any of Lethal 4 except for some Asian ethnic stylings. I'm very excited to find out how the comprehensive set will/could change my opinion of the scores and if the third movie's score will still be my favorite...

Believe me, Lethal Weapon 4 could steal you!

Go through the tracks I listed as favorites and you'll see what I mean! It actually has a lot of cool action cues, but on top if it, the soft and heartfelt cues like "Cemetery", it brings the score full circle.

I'll pay close attention, Peter Atterberg!

By the way, was watching the Director's Cut of Lethal Weapon 3 today and noticed a few seconds clip of "Assault on the Tower" from Die Hard during the scene right before Riggs chases Travis into the ice rink at the hockey game. Never noticed it before, it's very brief but there. Just got my box set today and about to start listening, curious if it's on the CD!

I haven't got the set yet, but there is a hint of that sequence in the samples.

The Shipyard (Like the first two minutes of this better than it's film version counterpart Stilt House Falls)

As previously mentioned, Peter (and ignored), the album track entitled "The Shipyard" is a cut down version of "Helicopter Attack" followed by "Knockin' on Heaven's Door". It's not an alternate "Stilt House Falls". Feel free to compare it with "Helicopter Attack" on disc 1. It starts 1:29 into disc 1, track 14, "Helicopters Approach / Helicopter Attack".

Neil - who is going back to hibernating

Just checked. The Die Hard "Assault on the Tower" clip is not on this set. Nor is the action music during the hockey arena chase, which was tracked music from "Mulholland Chase" from LW2 if I'm not mistaken.

Is it really Die Hard, or does it just sound like it? I remember in LW3, it sounds like a different recording and not just tracked Die Hard music.

There is a cue which you will hear early into the LW 2 set, track 3 or 4, where Kamen does a brief quote from "Assault on the Tower" from DIE HARD. Who knows why, he probably did it to amuse himself, but this must be the cue that gets tracked into LW 3 since in listening to the LW 3 tracks there isn't a DIE HARD quote to be heard.

This set is absolutely awesome. I've been waiting almost my entire life for this!

I remember a quote from Die Hard - Assault on the Tower in the scene where Lorna and Riggs escape with the truck from the warehouse. They lose weapons on the street, and the quote ends when the thugs pick them up.

Bits of the battle on the slave ship in LW4 always reminded me, for some reason, of Bernstein's The Great Escape score. Specifically Steve McQueen's motorcycle escape.

A thing I was hoping for was the film version of It's Probably Me (with additional orchestral scoring) on the Lethal Weapon 3 soundtrack. Sadly, it doesn't appear to be on the soundtrack.

MV mentioned this in one of the other threads. The powers that be liked the album version of the song, so that was the only one made available for the set.

Can anyone help me with this??

The film version of the freeway chase/riggs on table does not seem to be there.

What is missing or what is in the film and not on this album is:

an obvious bit when riggs slips off the car as he is getting on the trailer, a guitar bit when the asian guy he is fighting gets the upper hand, the moment when they go flying off the trailer (different to what is on the set) and the guitar bit for the wide shot of riggs on the table.

I'm not complaining just if La La or someone could shed some light, cheers.

And where is the motorcycle chase from LW3 before riggs falls, is that even Michael Kamen?

You're probably going to get the answer "it was tracked" from the LLL guys. I know that they poured over all the elements from these four films over the course of three years, so it's highly unlikely that they missed something. And even for cues that weren't on the session tapes and instead were grabbed from the film stems, this was notated on the LLL website.

Ignored? I didn't ignore anyone, I miss understood, but anyway the whole set is really great and I'm not sure how the heck I missed this. I still haven't sat down and gone through track by track, I've been listening to the ones that are my favorites. Been getting crazy overtime at work, so time has been limited.

This Helicopter Attack cue is better than the album version...Well played Neil and the other poster who corrected me, well played.
