Thought I was going to have to wait until next pay day for Matrix Revolutions, but my cable company just sent me a $250 prepaid Visa just for being me, I guess, so in a few days I'll be in Hog Heaven. Thanks for completing the series, LLL!
The samples for BMx do seem to have a high degree of clarity. They've given away Stachel's Last Flight and I'm damned if I can find anything wrong with it. Well done guys.
Edit: I'm guessing the original session tapes were brought out for this - one last meal before bedtime. The same as ST:TMP. Tell me I'm wrong!
So Glad that the sublime Blue Max lives on forever in a new nice edition at a good price for those that don't yet have it or have know much about it!!! Welcome new Jerry Fans!!
I was worried I'd be defeated by the feeding frenzy, I ordered REVOLUTIONS alone just for the maestros' personal brush stroke.
THE BLUE MAX looks soooo good, I'm hoping the sound really eclipses the Intrada pressing... That'll make it a must buy for me.
Let's not forget the age of the recording and the time when it was recorded. The sonics and the acoustic will always be limited by the technology that was applied at that time.So here we get the best possible re-mastering and restoration as possible. If this sells out quickly La La Land should keep in my mind to repress more. This is a great title and it should remain in print.
The first expansion cd that came off Sony/Legacy-It really put me off and I never recovered from it specially coming at it after the Suite that Goldsmith recorded at CTS Wembly with Mike Trevor Ross. The sonics knocked my socks on that one. The Intrada redo of the original was miles ahead and was lucky to get copy long after it sold out. So Iam greatful to Intrada for lovingly restore it as well as my lost joy. La La Land's new presentation promises more along with the film's blu ray release (which to date I havent seen properly). This release and the blu ray is an event!
Ordered both. The original album for Revolutions never satisfied me and I missed Intrada's Blue Max. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to finally do away with the Legacy version.
