First: I can understand everyone, who missed the first edition of that great score and is happy now, to get it. The point is, I now several stores and international ebay markets, were you could get the first edition even now for a resonable price, so everyone who wants this score, could get it. So there was not really a need for a re-release NOW. You see for example: There`s another really great Friedhofer score, wich release would also be a re-release, but the original CD was nearly 20 years ago released (paired with another score of the composer), and this one could need also a better soundmix AND an expansion: THE YOUNG LIONS. Can you see the difference? Because of the reasons I mentioned above, there would not really need for a complain about a re-release of SUCH a title (and YOUNG LIONS is just an example). Not because I prefer the music of that score more(or something like this), just because its REALLY long ago, that a CD was released, and it is REALLY hard to get now and the sound needs REALLY a new treatment. These are (in my opinion) truly good reasons for a re-release (or Encore, as you prefer). Dont you think?

Just want to be clear here - the alternate main title was not available back when we did the original release nor was the three-track main title. Both were found much later. Again if you have the original release you're fine For those like me who purchased the original release: Could you post a clip of the alternate main title on your product page so we can decide for ourselves? I'll see if I can make that happen this evening.

Better still you could post a download link for the real alternate main title so previous owners can have the track. It should be a .aiff or some other lossless format, not an mp3. I get your annoyance, but this is a new version. If you want the updated version, you gotta buy the updated version. Or, sell your original and buy this version. Done and done.

I don't personally care at all about the alternate main title and don't want or need it. But the first release had a production error. The track from the Jayhawkers was included by mistake and the track that should have been there all along is now going on the "Encore" Edition. But as a corrected disc now exists and it's no more than what was meant to be in the package in the first place, it might have been a good idea, at the time of pressing the new one, to press some extras of Disc One and offer them as replacements to those who bought the original Disc One (assuming they care about it enough to return it in the mail at their own expense to Kritzerland). I doubt more than 50 people would have bothered. While The Jayhawkers track was indeed a "mistake" it was made because the tape was mislabeled, not through anything on our part other than a lot of smart film music people not realizing it wasn't One-Eyed Jacks - to that I and a couple of others can plead complete stupidity. But the point is, IF we'd realized it, we simply would have left the track OFF the CD. There would have been no alternate main title on CD 1 because it wasn't found until years later. That is the simple and easy to understand point, I think.
