Yes I believe it was his last score and of course we know it did blatantly have 2 different titles when release, and reading again the info didn't stress film composer but composer, It may very well be that one. let's hope, wonderful emotional score

Bernstein had so many scores rejected in the '70s. Or it could be somebody like Michel Legrand, I guess. Berstein had one score rejected in the 1970's ("Casey's Shadow"). "Boom!" had two rejected scores. How about Cordell's rejected "2001: A Space Odyssey", with one the documentary scores he did over the years?

So, because two releases every two weeks wasn't seemingly enough, the new Intrada way is now THREE releases every two weeks? I gotta tell you.

Great releases you've been coming up with lately Bruce and special kudos for It's Wonderful Life - magic you've performed there. Every label has great releases, all of them. That's not the issue. The issue is glutting the market - I warned about it three years ago, no one wanted to hear it, but I have heard from enough people that it has indeed hurt us all. The proof, I'm afraid, is there for all to see.

But back to our regularly scheduled program. Although Die Sister, Die! would be a hoot, I think its doubtful as the score is from the early seventies, not the late.

So, because two releases every two weeks wasn't seemingly enough, the new Intrada way is now THREE releases every two weeks? I gotta tell you. Remember : people only rain on your parade because they are jealous of your sun and tired of their shade. Oh, dry up, will you? It's been so nice since you haven't been around. No one is jealous of anyone - but of course you know that, but you can't help being who you are. My point is an obvious one, and while consumers decide what they want and don't want, the glut that has gone on for three years has done damage - no one sees that but those who have labels. We all have titles that sell out quickly, but the frequency with which that happens has gotten wider and wider, and many titles have stiffed because there's just too much coming too fast. Intrada led the way with their four a month - no one and I mean NO ONE had a schedule as full as that, until three years ago, when everyone began trying to outdo each other. I personally don't give a flying Wallenda, because we'll all do what we do and in the end it will turn out how it turns out. I just find it amusing that four a month is no longer sufficient for labels. Back to the shade for me, baby. I like it there.

The proof, I'm afraid, is there for all to see. I hear ya Bruce. I've certainly reined in my purchases to a 'sane' level for quite some time now. The glut is indeed here and its up to us consumers to make more thoughtful choices. Obviously, we can't buy everything and moreover, many of us (well, me at least) wouldn't want everything as there is only 24 hours in a day and a large chunk of it is already spoken for.

You can talk all you want about glutting the marketplace but I just crunched our numbers for the first half of 2014 and it's the most we have ever made in our 12 year history from January 1 to June 30. I was shocked, but it made sense when I looked at the sales. While we didn't have a mammoth size hit like previous years (i.e. Star Trek The Motion Picture, ID4, or Hook), we had several home runs...and those home runs helped sell some of the smaller releases. It's all about the titles. For every Empire of the Sun, It's a Wonderful Life and Young Sherlock Holmes a company releases it helps pay for smaller projects like D.A.R.Y.L. and Judith that didn't sell a boatload of copies. There is nothing wrong with variety in the marketplace. A customer doesn't have to buy everything that comes out. That's just plain silly. Pick and choose and get what you want. If you are worried about something selling out, then prioritize and buy the items that you know are limited. Also, keep in mind some times things are beyond the labels' control. For instance, we only have 2 releases in July, but most likely 5 in August. Projects get delayed for a variety of reasons...most of which is beyond the labels control. None of us are made of money and we need to start recouping a project's cost as soon as possible. In other words -- SHIT HAPPENS. Happy 4th, everyone! MV

MV Gee, thanks for all this information - had no idea. Really. Really really. And you know what, Mr. Gerhard - I'll just leave it at that. Really. Really really. The public posts vs. the private stuff said to others is always amusing, though. Really. Really really. I just crunched our numbers and we've had the best best year in our nine-year history of best best years. Really. Really really. And just so everyone knows, even though I've said it before: I own every single Intrada release. I can't say that for any other label except mine own and I get those for free

By the way, I was writing my message when haineshisway was posting his and didn't see his message until I posted mine, so my opening word was not a comment on his post. I have no interest in getting involved in whatever dispute is going on between Kritzerland and La-La-Land, I just wanted to express my appreciation for Intrada. I'd like to express my appreciation for all the labels and get back to our idle speculation thread.
