Well, at the end of the day this is a test.

If enough money gets pledged in the time, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

Reality will soon tell us if it works.

All I'd say is this: if you'd buy the CD, why not pledge the £20 which would get you a copy of the CD when produced?

Or of course more, depending on how keen you are.

Cheers

Fantastic! I have just pledged 50 pounds!

I hope others will contribute just as much!

It's a very good idea so I have also pledged.

I will pledge this one but a word of advice, these kickstarter projects don't finance themselves; you need to get word out online and on social media. Also don't be shy with offering other expensive options to raise more money. Start designing those Moonraker t-shirts. big grin

I think the idea here is for fans to show their support for the recording instead of James trying to drum up support for it; the end product CD should be enough. I think this is awesome that he has committed to taking it on if we fund it.

Great idea; I'm in. Let's hope it works. I say that both because I'd love to hear a full modern recording of this score but also because it could well pave the way for other scores to be recorded using the same model.

Now's the chance to get a new recording of MOONRAKER funded...let's see if there is the demand that many people hoe for?

I don't mean to piss on your campaign, James (all the best of luck to you!), but THIS you want 'kickstarted' -- despite it having numerous soundtrack versions already -- while my suggestion of recording Williams' STORY OF A WOMAN/STORIA DI UNA DONNA -- a superior score that has never seen the light of day, nor will it ever -- was completely uninteresting to you?

Stop with your crybaby trolling, Thor. Your dislike of John Barry's music is well-known, we don't need your piss to put out the fires you started yourself eons ago.

Has nothing to do with my like or dislike of John Barry. I was just surprised by the title James chose given more attractive alternatives (in my opinion, of course). I've always been one to champion previously unreleased scores over those that already have some sort of release.

But hey -- it's his baby. As I said, I wish him the best of luck.
