Hey Bruce, the other labels list this as being available late May, not June. When will they probably get copies? I ordered from one of them so I could combine shipping with another CD. We gave this one a wide berth because again it's not our local pressing plant, but they came in late yesterday and are shipping today. Of course, the other labels who carry our stuff won't have theirs until next week.

Classic Legrand......Thank you Bruce ! Wonder what happened to that fine young actor Robby Benson, does anyone remember a seventies TV movie called 'Death be not Proud' ? Robby's around and alive and well. You can find him on Facebook Benson took part in an Academy anniversary screening of Beauty and the Beast last year. He's aged incredibly well. We should all be so lucky. (Of course, few of us ever looked like Robby Benson in the first place).

Got my disc yesterday. All I can say is, what a lush, beautiful Legrand score. And although I've heard Bobbie Gentry's song over the years, I listened to it with renewed interest. It was like hearing it for the first time. Great release!

I got mine today and it is lovely if quite short. Though I wonder why no mention was included that only half of the music is orchestral score? I got the part about the first track being a song, but not that the last five tracks are source cues. Maybe I didn't look closely enough considering it does list various other artists on the tracklist on the web site. Yes, we didn't exactly hide this information - in the blurb at the top of this thread: While it’s a short score, it does exactly what it needs to do in the film. Ode to Billy Joe was released on LP by Warner Bros. Records. This is its first CD release. In addition to Legrand’s score cues, the album also contained the classic Gentry song as well as some country-flavored source cues. It has been mastered from the original album masters.

Hi. This was a bucket-list soundtrack for me. It was summer of 1976, and I was but a mere child. The movie came out and I was so moved by it and particularly the soundtrack. My mom bought the LP for me and I played it constantly. My best friend bought the piano music and played it for me all summer, both in-person and over the phone! I had a poorly transferred LP-to-CD the last several years--and it was awful--but it was all I had. I'm so glad to have this new CD. Thank you so much, Kritzerland!

Bruce, are we any closer to Kritzerland's next release ? Yes, in a few days - something fun and unexpected but not for you Cody
