The music in this incredibly fun game is just great. Even long after I've been killed I enjoy staying in the game to watch the other players, and enjoy the music. I look forward to getting my copy of the CD when it is released.

What platform are you on?

I'm really, really, really -- really -- hoping that this score will be in the upcoming Black Friday group of releases by La-La Land. MV said earlier in this thread, "CD in the works." That was back in May. Hopefully it didn't fall through.

Since I last took a stroll through this thread, tons of clips from the game have been posted on youtube. Gonna hitcha with a bunch here! You guyz and galz have got to listen to this stuff. It is Manfredini's best Friday the 13th music since the original Paramount films in the early 80's -- I mean seriously, the guy is completely revitalized and found his Jason mojo again. This music is solid. It's a perfect blend of amazing new material and brilliant new presentations of classic material.

I can't get enough of this first clip -- it just blows me away. I feel the same way I did when I first discovered his Friday music for the first time. His writing is so interesting, so dynamic, so alive; he hasn't lost the touch for classic Friday jagged string rhythms and piercing stabs. He's got a whole new bag of tricks though. It doesn't let up, just like the best of the final girl chases.

For the parts of the game that represent the original films -- Part 2, Part 3, etc. -- Manfredini took his old material from those scores, so beloved in La-La Land's previous boxset and recent standalone releases, and spiked them with a special sauce. They don't just feel remixed or rearranged or re-orchestrated (although they are all or one of those at some point) -- sometimes they feel like they're the old Manfredini Friday scores on acid...even more terrifying, heightened, intense.

DeputyRiley, with those samples you definitely sold it to me! The first one is especially good. Always liked Manfredini's work on Friday the 13th, and this will be a fine addition, whenever it will come out.

Still really hoping for a release of this some day, by some label. Maybe it will be La La Land, maybe not, but I hope it comes together somehow!

Thankfully the clips are uploaded to YouTube and I've really been enjoying listening to them. Posted several in this thread already, but the following one -- "Savini Jason" -- might just be the creepiest of them all. Some seriously freaky vocal effects going on in this one -- check out 1:42-1:52 eek. Honestly, it's some of the scariest music I've ever heard composed for film/tv/game. Manfredini completely brought his best stuff to the table for the game.

Ask your question in the "La La Land/MV Questions thread" maybe you'll have better luck getting a response than I did!

as a frequent listener to streamingsoundtracks.com I am absolutely shocked by the fact that people actually want MORE of this stuff. some madman requests the soundtrack to the F13 films over at the SST for years now and they play virtually every 30 minutes. this drives me mad. I came to despise everything F13 just because of the fact that I am force-fed the scores endlessly without mercy. well, I could choose to listen to another station but that would be even more crazy, right?

Why do you listen to SS.COM so much, if they can't spin a varied selection all day then why the hell are they on air, of course its enough to brain some one you should know better the listener the station got repetitive, don't blame Manfredini, its obvious they don't have enough quality to begin with.

It's a listener driven station. They got a huge selection but someone keeps selecting the F13 tracks for years now without end. I listen to it because besides F13 the stuff that's on is usually great.

they are a brick and mortar store in LA that sometimes does in person signing. So not their CD, it will be a La La Land product I'm sure.
