Well that's exciting too; The Untouchables was a fantastic release. Any hope of H.E.L.P. or Hollister? I like Joel's work on its own (The Untouchables and Stargate Atlantis themes are fantastic, in particular) but having Jerry contribute a theme to each of those projects would surely help their sales somewhat... Celtic Pride and The War at Home would both have to come from Intrada I suspect, as they are both Disney. Yavar

This is a great release and I'm greatful that BSX is releasing lesser know Basil works (thanks, guys!). Needless to say this is an instant purchase. I'm already thrilled for Vol. 3! With luck that will be happening sooner then later. Ford A Thaxton

Received my copy yesterday, and I'm pleased to report that I enjoyed it tremendously. PRISON FOR CHILDREN surprised me. The main titles are lovely, and have their own distinct personality, but in some ways are almost a dry run for LONESOME DOVE. The main theme and the overall ebb and flow of the music is similar. There's a slight Western vibe to it. And I have to admit, hearing a new (to my ears anyway) Poledouris melody made me a bit sentimental. I miss his sound. SINGLE BARS SINGLE WOMEN is a bit unusual for Basil. It has that forlorn 70's feel, anchored by another good main theme. It's as if he was channeling Bill Conti. Put simply, if you're a Poledouris fan who enjoys his quieter scores like THE WAR AT HOME, AMANDA, or even LASSIE, I think you'll enjoy this CD.

Its not an issue, a basic cover, booklet, as long as the music is engineered to the highest quality, nothing else matters. Well i hope some folks take the time to play it, these are two very good efforts by Basil that have been lost to time until now. Ford A. Thaxton

I agree with SchiffyM, Cedric, but where I think we'll find common ground: it would be fantastic if some enterprising forum member was able to come up with some good individual custom covers on their own for each score in this series. Yavar

It's really great BSX can release Basil's obscure jewels (let's hope we'll get Amazons) but it would be perfect if they can hire somebody for the art direction of the covers of this collection : they remind me of the worst covers of Soundtrack ! Magazine. I believe one of the reasons they're able to do these obscure jewels is because they're not spending the money on licensing artwork. Me, I'm just glad to have the music, and if a photo of Basil on the cover makes that possible, I'm all for it! we have a couple of more in the Pipeline at the moment. I hope everyone got this one has enjoyed it. Ford A. Thaxton
