If only there is a re-issue of 'Death of Nile' and complete 'Godfather' scores that really would be great!

So I'm just starting to explore Rota. I have Quartet's La Dolce Vita release and am loving it. Also really like his Romeo and Juliet score. Where do I go from here? Recommendations?

Here's a top 5 list of Rota from a few years ago with some nice listings from board members:

Among the Fellinis, I happen to love "Juliet of the Spirits" (which is sometimes pretty out there), "8½," "Amarcord," and the more conventional but beautiful "La Strada."

In the US, his most famous scores are certainly the first two "Godfather" scores, and they're great.

In a more classical style, there's "Rocco and his Brothers" and "The Leopard" (Ricardo Muti conducted a CD with excerpts from these and the Godfather films that's very worth checking out).

Another vote here for Amarcord, plus I can honestly say I never heard a Rota score I didn’t like. Not that I seek them out much, to my dishonour! I heard Hurricane on LP a couple of times and really enjoyed it, and I watched La Strada this afternoon and the main theme was used to great effect.

Bigger cover for those who care for such things:

600x600:

1500x1500:

@ Quartet: Is it possible to put at least 600x600 sized covers on your website?
