Maybe it's the score to the 1978 John Travolta-Lily Tomlin film MOMENT BY MOMENT, and listening to it only seems like two hours.

Anyone think this comment from Doug Fake is a hint? One for which we'd all skip a meal or two if need be. GANDHI!

To me it seems to be more of MASADA! Amer Well, since I missed out on the original issue, and since it's the only title that I would be excited about purchasing, and since there hasn't been a title since CAPRICORN ONE that made my heart skip a beat... it definitely won't be MASADA lol!

Steven... I get the impression that I've done something to piss you off. I can't recall one nice post aimed at me! If I've said something to offend you, I apologise. Not at all, Jim. I was just teasing. I should have used a smilie. Sorry!

I think it might be THE RIGHT STUFF. It's been a dream of Doug Fake's to do that one for a long time now, and I'd sure be thrilled if he finally pulled it off. It's an Oscar-winner and contains some of Bill Conti's greatest work, along with a crazy hodge-podge of classical pieces, Mancini, etc. Oh, and if I'm right, somebody catch Henry when they make the announcement.

I've got no idea whether there's more than two hours worth of music in THE RIGHT STUFF, Michael, but it's a long film with lots of music in it, and there may be alternate cues that went unused. Besides, Doug and Roger are part of that special breed of men who are born to push against the edge of the envelope and bring us longer soundtrack discs than anyone has ever imagined, delivered in envelopes that are really, really stretched out!

If it's not Pino Donaggio's BODY DOUBLE, then I don't care!

Doug has had an "in" with Universal of recent, and MASADA is a classic. Goldsmith and Steven's film tracks would be two plus hours. This looks good as my guess, and is certainly praise worthy if it happens. It was thought that this release "would never happen" because of Universal's apathy toward releasing more vintage titles- a road block Intrada seems to have hurdled. And, MASADA is scheduled for a DVD release in December, which seems to be when Universal is most prone to indulge in such allowances with music releases. SCOTT
