that a soundtrack label releases something and writes 3-4 long paragraphs saying NOTHING AT ALL about the kind of score or music of that new CD still amazes me.

So sad to see Mr Kiel wheelchair bound - he can get out of it but only with great pains involved. He's a spectacularly nice man to talk to.
Roger Moore looks more or less the same as he did 10 years ago.
Yes he is. He, like myself, is a born again christian and we had a great conversation about our faith and the Bond films. While at his table autographing photos, a wheelchair bound child came to his table to meet "Jaws" from Bond. Richard, who was in great pain back then, got up from his chair, walked around the table and posed for a personal photo with the boy. He then gave him a bunch of free autographed photos. A different sort of man all together.
When I was a child, probably 4 or 5, my Dad and I took a cruise through Central America. Richard Kiel was one of the guests, along with his wife. I still have vivid memories of waking up late one night (sea sick) and padding into the ship's dining room in my pajamas, looking for my Dad and seeing Richard Kiel there. This was not too long after I'd seen THE SPY WHO LOVED ME so I wasn't quite sure how to react to him.... but he was really, really nice to me.
Just came home after a great evening out and I find this excellent news. I don't see it listed at SAE though it's few hours since the announcing post. Will SAE carry it ?
Why not? It would have been great if he did though.
Well, of course it would've been great (i've been searching for a Barry autograph for years). I'm just saying that Starcrash is a score Barry has forgotten about (he has claimed he doesn't remember scoring the film), so picturing Barry signing it just seems more unlikely than seeing him return to score films.

The night I sat down to watch this the first time, my friend Ben said that the composer (who I was amazed to find was John Barry!) was so disheartened to do Starcrash, he simply recycled material he'd written ... for a score that won him an Oscar.
I'm not a Barry historian and only have about a dozen of his scores, so I don't know how much stock to put into that.

Starcrash doesn't have any recycled music. Up to that time Barry had won three Oscars (two for Born Free, one for Lion In Winter). So, where do you hear Elsa's theme in Starcrash? Do you hear any latin chants? Completely wrong account.
