While I doubt this will happen for LONG time, I have to agree - the cover art was not my cup of tea. I would have preferred an FSM-style booklet with one cover on one side, and the other cover on the other side.
As for my own suggestions, MASADA and GREMLINS. I haven't seen or heard Masada since it was originally on TV, but I still remember the theme. I can whistle it. How did that music stay in my head for all these years?? Now that's saying something!
could someone post a list of all Jerry Goldsmith titles issued last year? Im just being lazy...
CAIN'S HUNDRED (Film Score Monthly) CAPRICORN ONE (Collector's Choice) DR. KILDARE (Film Score Monthly) ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE APES (Varese Sarabande CD Club) FREUD: THE DELUXE EDITION (Varese Sarabande CD Club) I.Q./SECONDS (La-La Land) IN HARM'S WAY (Intrada Special Collection) INNERSPACE (La-La Land) LONELY ARE THE BRAVE (Varese Sarabande CD Club) ONE LITTLE INDIAN (Intrada Special Collection) RENT-A-COP (Intrada Special Collection) TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE (Film Score Monthly)
The top of my wish list would definitely be The List of Adrian Messenger, though an expanded Final Frontier would be spectacular, as well as an additionally expanded ST:TMP with his original version of the Enterprise theme.
Is this a record for Goldsmith releases per year, or is this just expected? If only other composers would get this kind of treatment.
I'd like a reissue of BREAKHEART PASS which is identical to the existent release but without those bonus fanfares and guitar stings at the end because they're of no musical interest. I'd like a re-release of CABOBLANCO which is identical to the existent release but with the liner notes in a slightly different font. I'd like a new issue for U.S. MARSHALS which is identical to the existent release but with a slightly better photo of Wesley Snipes on the insert, and I'd like another pressing of AIR FORCE ONE which is identical to the existent release but with the correct timing of "The Hijacking" printed on the back.
...I also second the wish by azahid to reissue POLTERGEIST - seems like the perfect project for FSM. With improved sound (closer to the stellar fidelity of the LP) and some juicy Jeff Bond liner notes!

I believe that MV from La La Land reported that it was a contractual requirement for both titles to appear on the front.
-Explorers -Gremlins -Star Trek V: Expanded (now that La-La Land has a relationship with Sony Special Products) -Star Trek: The Motion Picture: Expanded (the 1999 album is still in print so that might complicate things) -I'd love if Varese went back and expanded some of their 30-minute Goldsmith albums, namely Air Force One, Chain Reaction, US Marshals, Executive Decision, and Small Soldiers
I'd like to see an official release of THE HOMECOMING - A CHRISTMAS STORY, along with a COMPLETE MASADA (Goldsmith/Stevens) and the THRILLER TV scores (Goldsmith/Stevens/Rugolo)...that's my wish list...:-)

All the more reason to have released it separately.

I must say i'm VERY glad you are not a CD producer. Having those two scores released on one CD was great for my pocket. The cover art is the least important aspect, but this goes to show you how picky some people are on this board.
Star Trek: The Final Frontier Expanded or Complete First Knight Expanded or Complete The Shadow Expanded or Complete
I for one would also leap at an expanded or "Complete" score for The Shadow too.
Maybe just the one (1) version of the Taylor Dayne song will do next time though... (though truth be told I *do* actually quite like it - Sshhh! - don't tell a soul...)
SHAMUS made in 1973 starring burt reynolds directed by buzz kulik.... i think this was going to be released some years ago but was canceled i could be wrong though some one will put me right........
Although there are probably "better" Goldsmith scores remaining unreleased, this one is top of my Goldsmith grail list - it's just lots of groovy fun. Prometheus planned to pair it with their release of POLICE STORY, but either discovered the tapes were in poor condition (bad news) or that they were missing (bad news but also good news because they might still be found).
