Very much ordered. And grabbed Baxter's Dunwich Horror while I was at it. Like much of his output.

Well some of the label guy's off the record remarks about the possibility of unearthing previously thought lost Baxter scores has really started to bear fruit and in an area thought hopeless at one time, his Poe scores. I had faith and it has been rewarded! It will interesting to see which, if any, may come to pass in the future. For now I'm just ecstatic about Usher!

Using the shopping cart method, there are just 4 copies gone. I know it's not too accurate an estimate, but it's worked before.

EDIT: And the only Baxter I have is Panic in Year Zero, but I like it, so I got me a copy.

My, that was fast. Did it go as fast as the other Les Baxter? MASTER OF THE WORLD/GOLIATH AND THE BARBARIANS?

I know several recent Baxter releases were flops and La-La Land for one had to practically give them away, but his scores to the Poe films have always been highly sought after, especially as they were long thought to be lost forever. I guess I'm a bit surprised Intrada didn't press more than 1200 copies. I'm guessing if there are any more to be released perhaps they'll think about upping the number a bit. Anyway, glad I got mine!

Thanks to the heads-up posts here, I ordered a copy from SAE around 11 PM last night. The automatic system gave me an order number, so hopefully I wasn't too late. I have no idea how many copies are still available from them.

Regarding La La Land, their release of BEACH BLANKET BINGO was my second favorite soundtrack CD last year, behind only Tadlow's THE ALAMO.

Luckily, I ordered my copy from Intrada the day that this thread was posted. Now if they could only find the missing tapes for "The Pit And The Pendulum" and "Tales Of Terror".

More Baxter please! And would love to see Intrada press more of the Master Of the World. Going too expensive online. frown

Hello playmates!

There I go working my bollox off, 14 hours a day, no time even to click on FSM or any other site, then today I have a spare 2 minutes and I click on, and now I see that THE holiest of holy grails I had been waiting almost 40 years for has come and gone.

I'm trying to look on the bright side of this.... eh, at least I've got a job etc. Anyway - I hope you all really like it, and if anyone has got it and is crushingly disappointed in it, I can take it off your hands for you.

Bye now, must continue working! Seeya!

That was unlucky Graham. SAE still had it last night.

Very sorry to hear that Graham! The same almost happened to me. I was just lucky this time:

SAE still had it last night.

I ordered one from them yesterday and got a confirmation, so I probably got one of last they had.

Graham, if you're willing to re-import, some European shops have it still for pre-order:

Wow - very much ordered!!! Never thought I'd see this one released!

I ordered mine from Chris' Soundtrack Corner Graham and can confirm they still have some pre-orders left, so get in there fast!

This has been an expensive couple days as I also ordered Intrada's Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, and FSM's Star Trek III - ouch!!! Hope nothing else major is released for a few weeks :O

- John
