It felt like they were going to play the whole album but now only a couple of tracks. Was anyone else under that impression or was I just being a jamook? (Whatever that is)
Can anyone tell me if the horse does make it back to/with his master? With one of the final Williams tracks being "Homecoming", I sure hope so. I'm an animal lover and can't stand the stress of watching the whole movie not knowing whether the horse is going to make it. Thanks!
I understand your anxiety. I couldn't relax the first time I screened GRAN TORINO because I was afraid the gang in the film was going to kill his dog - a staple of revenge thrillers. The second time i watched it i enjoyed it that much more bruce
I just posted a quick little sonic preview on the Movies on the Radio show page. Share with me the pleasure of opening up the CD and listening for the first time. Look for "UPDATE: Listen to this five-minute preview" on this page: http://www.wqxr.org/#/programs/movies/2011/oct/22/
As much as I like Tintin, this score is the one I've been looking for even more. What little can be discerned, this doesn't disappoint. I like that he seemed to absorb the English atmosphere so completely with parts of the score anyway. And even the more conventional Hollywood sound seems like it could be moving, particularly in the context of the film I would imagine.
