NO-96- THE ISLAND-80-Ennio Morricone's , main and end theme was such a classic of relaxing beauty for me to put this in the top 100, lay back near the shore on a nice summer's day with the summer wind blowing gently.

NO-95-WUTHERING HEIGHTS-39-Sadness can often give us some beautiful music even though it is like at times swallowing a bitter pill. For years the disease movie of the week on network television were very popular as well as sad movies through the years. To me Alfred Newman's score for this classic tragic love story is one of the best most effective examples of sad music that fits a sad film like a hand in a glove.

NO 94-THE BUCCANEER-58-A great score overshadowed by The ten commandments, Majestic, pretty, beautiful, stirring, exciting and touching, opening theme overture is one of the best, as this score is one of Elmer's best.If you never heard it, i would recommend it, for any music lover even if your not a fan of Elmer Bernstein.

NO 91-10-79-- Henry Mancini's best song and non vocal score, we have the classic melodic ""It's easy to say", the pretty, "He is no more then a man", the beautiful theme when Bo and Dudley first talk, the very catchy Mexican dance number etc etc,a winning score for a winning movie, In a way it was Henry's last real score of that type as the film industry change, the type of score he started way back in the early 60's.

NO-90- A BRIDGE TOO FAR-77-Likely my favorite war film score of all time, John Addison delivers a fantastic score with a great addictive march which is what a march is suppose to do, end credit piece is pure gold.Film might be considered overblown not this great score.

I would have put A BRIDGE TOO FAR at 91 or 89, but NEVER at 90! What were you thinking????

Seriously, good to see LIGHT AT THE EDGE OF THE WORLD on the list. Almost nobody I know has heard the music, and the main theme is possibly one of the ten loveliest I've ever heard, a masterpiece at building slowly and methodically and paying off big-time. If I could write one theme as brilliant as this I could die a happy man.

I adore this Piccioni score. The expanded GDM CD is an absolute treasure.

NO 84-THE RAZOR'S EDGE-84-Sometimes a theme can be so powerful to one's senses it becomes a classic . like The Island[80] it is not the whole score that is great but a great theme is enough for me to list it in a top list. Jack Nitzsche main melody has such a beautiful melodic twist to it, that it is a instant classic to me.one of the great themes.
