2) THE SOUND AND THE FURY - because I love every second of it. And nobody ever mentions it.

You mention it Graham! And I do, too.

While I've never done any actual review on THE SOUND AND THE FURY, I do mention it within my coverage of Varese's Club CD containing THE 13TH LETTER:

http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?forumID=1&pageID=4&threadID=88717&archive=0

If you love THE SOUND AND THE FURY, Graham, you should get (if you haven't already) the VS disc of VIVA ZAPATA and THE 13TH LETTER...or forever be a numbskull! smile

Just went back to that thread, Tone. I see that I was there saying how much I liked THE SOUND AND THE FURY because nobody ever talked about it, and how much I prefer CLEOPATRA over SPARTACUS. Talk about regurgitation! But, based on your notes on that thread, since North himself wasn't averse to regurgitation, I'll forgive myself.

Oh, and I shall forever and ever amen be a total numbskull, because I haven't got THE 13th LETTER, and I've only got the flabby Goldsmith-conducted VIVA ZAPATA.

Oh, is it too late to add THE OUTRAGE to my Top 5 list? Doesn't matter, I think I mentioned it in the archaic "All Said and Done in 15 Mins" (sic) thread from ages ago.

By the way, in my above post, some of the bits in normal letters should be in italics because they are not my words but rather ToneRow's. You'll know that when you see that sometimes I seem to be talking to myself. "By the way Graham" was not me, even if it looks like it.

Oh DO pay attention please, Carson! They're all spread out through dozens of different threads, with different answers mirroring our changing opinions and states of inebriation!

look you two, i dont give a stuff about what you wrote on your North prefetences in other threads last year, or on other forums, or what you wrote to your soundtrack collecting penpal when you were 14, or what the two of you put in emails to each other - im talking about whats in this thread. Dont try and scam out of it, and backslide, and change your selections, coz i know what you two are like - just too damn sneaky and you switch with the wind.
you need to just admit it - wonderful country was nowhere near any of your posts in this thread and no going back in for a swift edit to make me look a liar!! ha ha :-)

Bill, CAN YOU PROVE YOU EXIST? You can't, can you?

So, on track, WONDERFUL COUNTRY is wonderful (pardon the pun, but at least it's not "country" - I hate all that nasal "crystal chandelier" stuff, which North admittedly avoids for the most part.)

So I didn't mention it in my "Top 5 North Faves" list? Gimme a break, boy. You ever even saw a shooter?

Am I the only one pleasantly surprised that a certain FSM regular who shall remain nameless hasn't (yet) posted on this thread to scold you all for ghoulishly admiring Mr. North and his music a scant 23 years after his passing?

Just wait another 16 days, 8 hours, 2 minutes and 54 seconds. You will then have clearance to contribute in good taste, my dear sir.
