The Rocketeer is a mediocre superhero score? I used to like THE ROCKETEER until it started sounding like all of the other Horner scores. So, yes mediocre Horner score.

I'd rather hear what Zimmer does to Williams than what Ottman did to Williams. Zimmer did Oscar-winning work with another composer's themes in "The Lion King," didn't he? Anyway, how fresh a re-boot is this going to be, if General Zod and the gang are in it?

I'm guessing this means both film and score will be fashioned after that 'The Dark Knight' kind-of thing. Well, I don't mind that 'The Dark Knight' thing. In fact, I quite like it. That said, whilst I kinda like some of the moods Zimmer can create in a film like that, you won't ever find me buying the soundtrack CD. Face it folks, the signal here is that this ain't going to be your 1978 Superman. Cheers

I don´t want Williams´ theme incorporated (I love it too much, it is too wonderful and connected to the other "Superman"-films). And since this is a re-boot it deserves a fresh approach. I sincerely hope Zimmer will be up to this challenge and make this different from his BATMAN scores. The question is: will we get a real theme for SUPERMAN - or is this something that the new film does not support, something that audiences nowadays would laugh at? Getting SUPERMAN, the character, right is tricky enough. But let´s wait until we actually can see/hear it.
