Okay, so Amazon just unilaterally cancelled my order for this CD. It looks like everywhere else I can find still has 3/19/13 as the release date. Did the CD get officially cancelled by Lakeshore? Anyone know?

I'm surprised it wasn't canceled sooner.

They did the same to me. However, Lakeshore STILL says it's coming out March 5th.

I e-mailed Amazon to find out what's going on.

You're the man, thanks! If I had Facebook I would've done exactly the same!

Well, I'm relatively certain the CD release has been unofficially cancelled. It looks to be unavailable for preorder everywhere, including SAE, which up until recently still had it listed for tentative release on 3/19. Plus, the queries sent to Lakeshore over Facebook have gone unanswered for a couple weeks. How very unfortunate indeed...

Sad to see. It really is DONT BE AFRAID OF THE DARK all over again. Here was me hoping that the sequel might prompt a release of the first film's soundtrack and now it looks like we'll not even get the sequel one. At least its out on download but its not the same.

That's what it looks like. What a shame, I'm sure a lot of SH fans would've picked up the CD.

I don't know what to think, now. What are the odds no one seemed to order any copies from Lakeshore?

Well, it's a little hope, I suppose.

Whaaa??? I didn't think it was possible to order directly from Lakeshore...all their soundtrack links I've ever accessed (including the one for SH) go either to iTunes or Amazon. Either way, interesting! Please keep us posted my friend!

Lakeshore soundtrack:

Amazon link for CD:

If Lakeshore isn't serious, then I'm one gullibly happy SOB! smile

While a lesser man (or perhaps a sane one) would have given up, I continue to try and find this phantom CD release. The latest from Lakeshore says it was pressed and shipped, but they don't know anyone who stocked it!

I know it's almost a lost cause now, but I e-mailed Amazon in the hopes they can somehow take this post from Facebook as proof that it exists and they can order it. I won't ask you to do the same, but of course, every request to Amazon counts.

I'll let you know if something else comes up.

Thanks buddy. I've been checking the prior Facebook link every couple days hoping for some news, and hadn't seen this most recent response. I'll also email Amazon and let you know if I hear anything.

How can a company press and dispatch a CD but not know to whom it was shipped and received? I'm beginning to chalk this up to an April Fools' joke.

I was thinking the same thing. You would think they have some sort of record as to which retailers (if any) received copies. They always seem willing to help, yet never have any useful information to give.

This is all just bizarre! Has anyone ever heard of a case similar to what Lakeshore are saying? No Online retailer have this anywhere. Its not even on Ebay!

I've never seen this before. It's tough, because SOMEONE is mistaken, whether it be the person running Lakeshore's Facebook, or retailers. While at first I was thinking Lakeshore must be wrong (perhaps there was an internal miscommunication, and it never was released), retailers aren't exactly going to try to keep ordering a 15 dollar CD.

I did get in contact with a few retailers (all of which couldn't find anything), as well as a local record store in my hometown, and they said they last tried to order one in January, which of course never came. I told them what Lakeshore told me (that it was released March 5th), and they said they'd try to order it again. They're supposed to contact me once they know for sure whether they can or can't.

Here's an excerpt of what Amazon sent me:

"I've checked our website and found When an item is listed as "Temporarily out of stock. Order now and we'll deliver when available," this means the item isn't ordered frequently. We can't predict exactly how long it'll take to obtain it or when we'll be able to ship it. If you place an order, we'll do our best to get the item for you, and we'll e-mail you as soon as we have more information from our suppliers.

Further, we have received so many request of this "Silent Hill: Revelation 3d" and our inventory team is working hard to get the stock of Silent Hill: Revelation 3d as soon as possible so that we can fulfill these requests. Once we get the stock of this new CD we'll immediately update this information on our website."

They also gave me a $5 promo for the 'inconvenience'! Ha, I love Amazon.

I wouldn't think it got released without ANY retailers knowing, but hey, I'm gonna keep trying 'til I know for sure!

Thanks for the updated info..you're doing a great job at keep this going!
I will be really surprised if this has been released by Lakeshore. I think someone somewhere has made a mistake like you say. If Retailers are actively trying to get it, it wouldn't be this hard if it was out there.

Ha, thanks guys! And I appreciate your support. While I'm leaning towards Lakeshore being wrong, I might as well see it to the end, right? It'd be the only Silent Hill soundtrack I don't have on CD!

Just listened to this score again, and it only reaffirms my desire to have it released on CD. Please Lakeshore, do the fans a favor!

Same here! Sad to see this CD release stuck in limbo. There would be plenty of SH fans that would support it.
