Oh wow. So happy that ...With A Vengeance is coming out. That's going to be incredible. But it was sort of expected...
THE UNTOUCHABLES!!!
You have no idea the place that film holds in my heart, as one of the first "grown up" films I saw, aged 7. My dad came back raving about it from the cinema, and nearly a year later, we were finally able to buy a VHS copy. I still remember it vividly - that first pound of the drum, then another, the whine of the harmonica, then that beat kicked in. And the film - beginning with a little girl my own age being vaporised, to the triumphant border raid, the "Touchable" bit that still kills me, Andy Garcia being the coolest guy ever at the train station, and finally, the carthatic, vicious, grim pleasure of "He's in the car." These were the sort of movies grow up's got to watch and I was hooked!
32 is a lot older than 7, but rest assured I feel very young now. I cannot wait to get this. (Please, please tell me you have the Main Title as heard in the film with the longer intro. My own homemade version can be retired then!)
