I'd really like to order Dressed to Kill - a great film and score - but it falls just short of a "must buy straightaway" purchase. Nothing to do with the music, rather that we've had a lot of (budgeted) expense recently which has left me with an inclination to keep my card in my wallet for a week or two.

I'll pick it up at some stage, I hope. Perhaps when they remaster it in 2016 smile

I hardly buy anymore either. In fact I've been selling off most of my collection, only keeping titles I actually listen to. Dressed to Kill is a title I have been wanting for many years so I had to order it. LOVE the ARTWORK!

I rarely buy anymore. THIS...is a special day, Thank you so much for this!

How come??? There are some splendid CD's being released, surely you bought Goldsmith's tremendous "SAMAMANDER"???

Yeah, Dave, you utter MORON, how come you didn't buy SAMAMANDER, eh? Even if it only exists in the fevered mind and shaky fingers of some cult Goldsmith fan.

big grin

I hear 'ya Chris. But we've all had a shaky finger on the keyboard once or twice, so I didn't bring it up. I listened to the sound samples for Salamander. I'd never even heard of the film before, and the samples didn't move me to buy. What can I say? 'Dressed to Kill' on the other hand, is quite the different animal for me. A few years ago, I sold my Varese copy to someone here, and regretted it. Now these samples sound spectacular and I want my Donaggio masterpiece back!

Think I'll pass on this. Love the main theme but I don't listen to it enough to buy again.
But please to enjoy.

I was thinking the same thing. I have not listened to mine, well I do not even know where it is.

This is a great release. For the longest time I wanted to get a second hand copy, but fortunately I resisted. I purchased mine from SAE (because I wanted another title from them) and I got one from Intrada for a friend.

Great work Intrada!

Jeez, I'm gone for a month and look what happens! big grin

I love this score to death so of course it will be mine when I have the dough. I'm slightly disappointed, however, that the disco-rock source cue when Nancy Allen is walking through the subway and stands next to the hoods doesn't appear to be included. I always loved that track!

I actually did a search before I posted my own thread on this release. Not sure why it produced no results. Anyway, this release makes my year. Hell, my decade. My favorite score, period! Yes, I followed period with an exclamation point.

At last...after Blow Out, Body Double and Carrie....Donaggio's other great De Palma score [virtually] complete. A must buy for me!

Or until you are completely naked.

The only reason why I want a private elevator in my home is come up with my own musical playlist. Track 8 'Death In The Elevator' would do nicely.

I recall hearing a female voice in the "Main Title", but it is not in the Intrada edition?? Do I have a bad memory or what?

There are female "ahhs" on the Varese Sarabande edition starting at about 1:59.

If it is in the Intrada, I don't hear the "aahhs" anyone else? I'm going to check the Blu Ray because I no longer have the Varese.

I just crossed checked my old Varese VCD 47148 vs. the new Intrada for the Main Title...yes, the "ahhhsss" are still there. Perhaps just a bit less in the mix on the Intrada....but they are Not Missing!
