Henry, here are my top 5 Kamen (I tend to prefer his melodic side on album, though his action scores are usually effective in-film):
1. The Iron Giant (just brilliant and beautiful) 2. Band of Brothers 3. The Adventures of Baron Munchausen 4. Don Juan de Marco 5. Open Range
That's very similar to my top five (though I'd put Mr Holland's Opus in there and not Munchausen). What a great composer he was. Lost him far too soon.

Hi James! Just ordered BAND OF BROTHERS. Just received DON JUAN de MARCO. I will buy the others soon.
Dont think anyone has mentioned WHAT DREAMS MAY COME a wonderful score that is often unfairly dismissed as it replaced a good one by Morricone. For my money Michael's is better anyway. Personal favourites are THE DEAD ZONE and MONA LISA.

Yes, I do like that, he put his heart into it and it shows. (Morricone's is just unbelievably good, though, and I would just love to have a proper release of it.)
This. Although I enjoy the Saxophone-concerto more – especially the second movement of the guitar concerto is vintage Kamen-on-a-roll. Reminded me of NYR&R
The complete Eric Clapton Orchestra Night should be made available. Not just for Kamen's concerto. It includes Kamen's arrangement of a down right fantastic White Room, a heartrending Bell Bottom Blues, and a if-you've-been-so-much-in-love-you'll-cry-your-eyes-out overwhelmingly beautiful You Look Wonderful Tonight.
Yes, I'm enthusiastic. God, what an artist Kamen was.
My favorite is FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON... sadly, still unreleased.
We watched some of FtEttM on July 20th (Moon Day). I realized that I DO have a grail left! Not just the Kamen stuff, but BOY I would love the Freedom 7 sequence.
The kids and I watched The Iron Giant tonight. All the bits I usually tear up at I got a little more because Kamen isn't with us.
