The Growl is a source cue if that isn't obvious already. Yes we know, I posted the youtube video that contains the scene from the film it's used in.

Are the tracks in film order? Yes. All Giacchino OSTs are.

we have a 45 minute album of a score that's probably about twice as long The full score runs over 100 minutes.

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out when the album will appear on UK itunes?

The one thing that really irked me in the film was that people in San Francisco bars in the future listen to early 21st Century dance music. If I was making a film like this, I'd either get the composer to write something ala Williams Cantina Band, or I'd license Jerry's "The Rec Room" from OUTLAND. ;-)

YOR is listening to the Varese album right now. And the music is great. YOR loves Giacchino. The cues "Kronos Wartet" and "Warp Core Values" are outstanding. But, the album is very short. Surely there's great music yet to listen.

Downloaded it from itunes now, too (available in Germany since a few hours ago!) - and I am delighted, relieved and impressed. The whole cues (surprise!) reveal the interesting new ideas and the development of the familiar themes. For me, this belongs on the Best of-list of 2013.

I see it but the sequence of the tracks seems to be in disorder? The first two are the Main Theme and then warp core values? I thought the Main Theme is the last track and "Logos/..." is the first? How is it ordered after you bought it? Track 1: Logos / Pranking the Natives Track 2: Spock drops, Kirk jumps Warp Core Values is Track 10. Is that the correct order? Haven´t seen the film yet.
